It's quite sad that the Japanese won't be having a launch party in honor of Konami's opus, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but for those who live in the US, the show must go on. Konami Online's Brandon Laurino announces the schedule of the Metal Gear Solid launch events for three locations, and you can check them out in the full article. |

For many of us, this isn't really such a big deal. For the purists and hardcore-fans, however, the topic of whether a localized game should be subbed or dubbed is a factor that can potentially alter the entire play experience. We'll be taking a look at this matter a littler further, by way of a feature piece. Check it out in the full article. |

The good news is it looks like the Metal Gear Solid movie is still a go. The bad news is that David Hayter won't be involved with the project.According to IGN, the man who gave Solid Snake a voice will not be a part of the film. Hayter reportedly pitched his take on the Metal Gear Solid movie project to Konami but the company "opted not to hire him to script and/or produce it". Konami also reportedly passed on a Hayter-penned big-screen treatment, which according to an insider was kind of like Metal Gear Solid meets "Apocalypse Now" with Snake in the middle of a "swirling whirlpool of Genomic/military madness". |
