DeadZone has released a mini-upgrade to DeFlasher NL v6.0. Previously supporting Team M33's 3.51 CFW, the new version of DeFlasher NL v6.0 should now work with Team M33's 3.52 custom firmware. For those who haven't heard of it, DeFlasher is an application that allows you to flash quite a large number of files, letting you change everything from the theme of your PSP to the way the PSP starts itself up. Here are some things to remember though. First off, please check the readme when using this application. It should lessen the chances of bricking your PSP if you follow directions. Second, since this application writes to flash, there's no guarantee that your PSP won't be bricked, so do what you can to increase the odds in your favor. Lastly, feel free to ask DeadZone more questions about using this application by posting a query on the forum link we have below. That being said, have fun flashing your PSP! PSP homebrew developer DeadZone dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce that DeFlasher No Limits (NL) has just been updated to version 6.0. The application's latest release has been reworked to be compatible with the recently released Custom Firmware 3.51 M33. DeFlasher still retains its ability to flash an unlimited number of items unto the PSP, and currently supports these files:

PSP homebrew developer DeadZone just dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to let the community know that DeFlasher has been updated to version 5.5. This application allows you to flash your PSP's RCOs and themes, among other files; DeFlasher's special trait compared to other flasher apps is that it allows users to flash an unlimited number of items unto the PSP.
DeadZone explained that this latest DeFlasher release hosts increased support for rco's, vsh.prx and pspbtcnf.txt:
Or, if you're looking for a demonstration before making your decision, DeadZone was kind enough to host a video. You may check it out over at the Full Article. Download: DeFlasher Edition No-Limits v5.5 Visit: QJ's PSP Development Forum |

DeadZone has released v5.0 of his DeFlasher application for the PSP. Now titled DeFlasher Edition No-Limits version 5.0, it seems you can now place an unlimited number of items for DeFlasher to flash onto your PSP, allowing for quick customization once you have everything set up. Since our Spanish skills aren't up to snuff, here's a direct quote of DeadZone's English translation from our forums: New update, this time themes, and all rco's, background, icons, battery, etc, etc,,, can be put in the folder with the name that is wanted and the program recognizes them. Whatever can be put are wanted, single is necessary the architecture of folders that I include (the same one that in the previous version) but without the captures. Single it is necessary to put the folder that defines yours theme with his rco's and captura.png in the corresponding folder The capture no longer is obligatory to have it within the folder where subjects and others lodge, but is then is not shown and if this and is called captura.png (270x153) it showed preview thus to be able to see that flashing. As with other flashing applications, make sure to read the directions on the readme and be very careful. Flashing apps can brick your PSP if done improperly. If you're thinking about using this homebrew app and have questions, feel free to check our forum thread below so you can ask questions or search for additional information. In the meantime, you can also watch a video of the application in action below. Enjoy! |

StrmnNrmn's got an update up on his blog regarding R10. According to his entry, he intends to keep his promise on releasing Daedalus R10 by the end of March. And with only but a night to go before we officially bid goodbye to March, we're thinking we could find R10 up and about by tomorrow. Hopefully. Anyhow, StrmnNrmn says that R10 will be smaller than R9. However, you'll be sure to find some great improvements, such as an approximate 10 to 15% speedup, frameskip, framerate limiting and stick deadzone tuning, and various small bugfixes. He says that he's giving himself until Sunday afternoon to have everything readied at the latest. Important to note also from this entry is that StrmnNrmn has said that the Expansion Pak support feature might not get to be included in R10. He says that although he's fixed that bug that's been keeping it from working, the obstacle now are the various memory issues it causes when enabled. And between delaying R10's release and forcing the Expansion Pak support,he'd rather have a go at R10 and disable the Pak support for now. Then he'll just make up for it by releasing R11 early. So there. That's all the update there is for now. But keep it locked right here, cos we're sure updates will be trickling in quick on StrmnNrmn's update pretty fast. And thanks to Thunderstrike and dylstermanster for the tip! |
