With the release of the game Sonic Rivals for the PSP just around the corner, many are already raving to get their hands on a copy of the latest installment to the Sonic series of games.

Developed by Backbone Entertainment for the company which Sonic represents, Sega, the game will feature Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow and Silver as playable characters, with Metal as an unlockable character which you can play as after finishing the other four's stories. And of course, they're up against the villain who is no other than Dr. Eggman, except that his descendant, Eggman Nega, has decided to tag along this time around.

So, while we wait for December 1 to roll in and for this game to finally hit store shelves, here's some character renders of our hero hedgehogs for now which features them in various suits.

This coming August 23 - 26, 2006 all roads lead to Leipzig, Germany for the annual Games Convention.

GameFront cited that the awfully controversial Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will make an appearance in the Games Convention in Germany as it gets presented to the members of the press. Maybe, they'll even have a first hand look at the "new" rocket launcher in recent screens that littered the web.

While, Sega's debut title for the PSP, Sonic Rivals, where the fastest hedgehog in town is on a mission to rescue Amy Rose and Miles who have mysteriously turned into cards, from the hands of the evil Dr. Eggman. I bet you're just as eager as the rest of us here at QJ to see how this one will turn out.

Today Sega has released some new screens for Sonic the Hedgehog's PSP outing, Sonic Rivals. The story starts off as a friendly competition between Sonic and Knuckles quickly gets intense as other rivals jump into the action. In the game players will be able to utilize boost moves and power-ups as Sonic's rivals try to trip, shove, and vault over Sonic while hurtling towards the finish line at breakneck speed. Negotiate wildly twisting 3D tracks, avoid hazardous traps and hazards, and watch out for the insidious Dr. Eggman and his myriad of contraptions.
