Homebrew developer zx-81 just rolled out a new build of pet application PSPSSH over at QJ.NET PSP Development Forum bringing it up to version 1.0.9. For the uninitiated, before we proceed, PSPSSH is a SSH2 client for the PlayStation Portable based from Matt Johnston's server and client Dropbear v0.48.1. With this program, users are given remote access to their SSH-enabled PC units. This allows them to enter commands and run scripts from the handheld as if they're exactly right in front of their personal computers. We listed down the changelog for this version provided by zx-81:

Homebrew coder Zx-81 dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and announced a surprise build for application PSPSSH, bumping it up to v1.0.8. We say surprise because if we recall correctly, the developer mentioned that v1.0.7 was going to be the last release. It's certainly a surprise, and a very welcome one at that. Anyway, PSPSSH is a SSH2 client for the PlayStation Portable. It is actually a port of Matt Johnston's server and client Dropbear v0.48.1 running on a variety of POSIX-based platforms. With this program, users gain remote access to their PC units allowing them to enter various commands and run scripts. Here are the following improvements to PSPSSH v1.0.8:

Homebrew coder zx-81 has just released a new version of PSPSSH, a homebrew app that gives PSP owners remote access to their PCs. According to zx-81, this should be the last release of PSPSSH - barring any major bugs.PSPSSH is a PSP port of Matt Johnston's Dropbear SSH2 server and client - to be specific, version 0.48.1 of the Dropbear client. With PSPSSH, you can enter commands and run scripts through your PSP as if you were actually sitting in front of your PC and flailing away at the keyboard. This new update bumps PSPSSH's version up to version 1.0.7. The biggest thing here is that the lag issue encountered while using an IR keyboard or a virtual keyboard has been fixed. Aside from the lag being gone, a couple more fixes have been introduced in this update. Here's the changelog:

Homebrew developer Zx-81 dropped by QJ.Net PSP Forum just now and updated his pet application PSPSSH. The program is a PSP port of Matt Johnston's Dropbear v0.48.1 that allows users remotely connect to their Linux-based PC units through a WiFi connection.Currently in v1.0.6, there's actually just one very important thing that has been added to PSPSSH and that is IR keyboard support. This new feature is based on the PSP IR Keyboard Library developed by Harald Fielke. The keyboard tested by Zx-81 with this release was a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard. The download below contains two versions of the application, one for FW 1.5 users and another for those who have firmwares 3.xx OE. Those of you who want to tweak the program to their own liking may do so as the source code has also been provided. Please refer first to the Readme file before installing this on your PSP. All information you need regarding installation and other important details can be found there. Download: PSPSSH : SSH2 Client for PSP v1.0.6 Visit: QJ PSP Development Forum |

Homebrew developer Zx-81 dropped by our QJ.Net PSP forums a while ago and released a new version of PSPSSH: SSH2 Client for PSP. The application is actually a port of DropBear v0.48.1. What PSPSSH does is to allow users to remotely connect to their Linux-based PC units through a WiFi connection. Once this is installed in your PlayStation Portables (PSP), you will be able to run scripts and input commands to read emails using text-based tools, watch log files, restart services, and edit configuration files among others. PSPSSH: SSH2 Client for PSP is currently on version 1.0.5 and the complete changelog is as follows:

Over at the QJ.Net Forums, homebrew coder Zx-81 has announced that PSPSSH is now at version 1.0.3. As freyyr890 explained in version 1.0.2, this homebrew application is "a protocol for remotely using the command line on a system, primarily Linux systems." This allows your PSP to issue command lines to your Linux, Unix, or Windows systems (provided they're running on an SSH server) so long as you have an internet connection. PSPSSH is Zx-81's PSP port of the Dropbear SSH2 Server and Client by Matt Johnston, with PSPSSH specifically a port of client version 0.48.1. Moving on to version 1.0.3's changelog:

PSP homebrew coder Zx-81 is apparently taking a break from PSP game emulators to let us in on something equally (if not more) lucrative: PSPSSH version 1.0.2.This homebrew application is Zx-81's PSP version of Matt Johnston's Dropbear SSH2 Server and Client, which was originally built to run on a variety of POSIX-based platforms. As Zx-81 explains, "PSPSSH is a port of the client version 0.48.1 to the PSP," with v1.0.2 carrying this latest changelog:

PSP developer ZX-81 has just released PSPSSH, a PSP version of Matt Johnston's Dropbear SSH2 server and client app, over on the QJ PSP Development forums. According to ZX-81, this port is based on version 0.48.1 of Dropbear, while the terminal Vt100 emulation part of PSPSSH is based on "the work of Danzel for his Telnet client for PSP." This is still the first release, and ZX-81 acknowledges that some additional work has yet to be done in order to improve PSPSSH. If you have any suggestions or bug reports, feel free to discuss this release on the QJ PSP Development forums by clicking on the Visit link below. Remember, please read the included readme file before you install PSPSSH. PSPSSH has been developed on Linux and works under firmwares 1.5 and 3.x-OE.
