French PSP modder Flasher gave us something flashy today with his new PSP DualShock 2 hardware mod. It's not finished, but so far, it's already looking hella good. Details and pictures after the jump.

Japanese news site Game Watch managed to dig up more info on the PSP Go, shedding yet more light on Sony's new piece of hardware. They got word on the talked-about DualShock3/Sixaxis support, the in-game XMB feature, and pics of the PSP Go side-by-side with a PSP-3000 to give you the comparison that specs can't give. It seems the PSP Go! isn't the only console redesign that Sony is rumored to be prepping for E3. PlayStation Lifestyle reports that they've caught word of another hardware redesign to be debuted by Sony at the annual gaming expo. A cheaper slim PS3? God I hope so.

There's been some confusion over whether the PSP Phat will be able to utilize the PSP Plus in Resistance: Retribution, a feature that will allow the handheld to use the DualShock 3. Bringing light to the situation is Sony's Jeff Rubenstein, who confirmed that the Phat will support PSP Plus. Yay for people who chose to stick with the classic heavy.

Sony has made many promises before on raising PSP and PS3 interconnectivity. Unfortunately, that probably doesn't include more games - aside from Resistance: Retribution - being able to use the PSP via the DualShock 3. A Sony rep said they aren't even considering the possibilities yet.

Aww damn, and there are so many possibilities...

Finally we've got some substantial development in the realm of PS3-to-PSP connectivity, and it isn't just Remote Play either. Via TGS 2008, SCEA's announced that Resistance 2 on the PS3 and Resistance: Retribution can be connected with each other. Doing so opens up a world of possibilities - more in-game content and the option to play Retribution on your PSP using a Dualshock 3 controller (yes, vibration support included).
