Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1When contractual obligations are not carried out according to stipulations agreed to by both parties, you can expect an ugly lawsuit to come next. What more if the agreement is not carried out at all? 3D Realms is about to find out the answer to that scenario as Take-Two Interactive files suit against what's left of the developer company for failing to deliver Duke Nukem Forever, via its parent company, Apogee.

Duke NukemSo 3D Realms has shut down, thus making everyone believe that Duke Nukem Forever's gone back to the hole it once crawled out from. But if Apogee Software COO Terry Nagy is to be taken for consideration, we may here some word about the official status of DNF next week. It's either that or we get hear about the handheld trilogy set to come out for the PSP and DS.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1 While checking the QJ.NET PSP Updates blog for this week's PSP Weekend Warrior something struck me as odd. I couldn't pinpoint it exactly at first but eventually it dawned on me: we didn't see any PSP2 rumors this week! Or any hardware-centric news for that matter. The games have picked up the slack, though, with a couple of new game confirmations and more good news for the retro-minded PSP owners out there. Read on for the rest of the PSP Weekend Warrior!

Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1When Slash000 paid US$ 10 to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever through his local GameStop, little did he know that he would have to wait 12 years to wait for an answer. Unfortunately for him, the answer might be a disappointing "no" now that 3D Realms has run out of money and can no longer continue the game's development.

3D Realms - Image 1Just when you thought Duke Nukem Forever was finally gonna claw its way out of the vaporware bin (seriously, did anybody really think it would?), here comes what could be the final nail in the game's coffin: developer 3D Realms has reportedly shut down.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Thanks to the recently-concluded Game Developers Conference, we had a glut of news bits this week. Some of them are still quite vague, like Sony's awesome new game title (the title's awesome. I have no idea what the game's like) and the hints about a new Square Enix game, but we did also get some definites this week. For example, we got a few details about the songs in Rock Band: Unplugged as well as more proof that Apogee doesn't just trade in vaporware. All that and more in this week's PSP Weekend Warrior!

Duke Nukem - Image 1First in the Duke Nukem Trilogy (all of which are to be released on the PSP and DS) is DN Critical Mass, scheduled for some time late-2009. While pics from the other day finally put a face to the game, here's some actual gameplay footage for both versions. To my knowledge, it's going to be the first time we actually get to see the game in action.

Duke Nukem - Image 1So Apogee's got new Duke Nukem titles in development for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. Big whoop, right? I mean, we've been waiting for Duke Nukem Forever for... for forever. Well, it looks like Apogee's really hunkered down and made sure the new handheld Duke Nukem games don't turn into vaporware. Details and screenshots from Duke Nukem Critical Mass after the jump.

Apogee updates on Duke Nukem Trilogy progress - Image 1It's been a long time since we heard anything about the Duke Nukem Trilogy. Despite people thinking that the game doesn't really exist (thanks to the E3 trailer sans any form of gameplay footage), Apogee insists that it is indeed real, and development is coming along "at a feverish pace." I'll believe it when I see it.
