Last week's batch may be a tough act to follow, but this week holds its own, bidding for your buck. The Call of Juarez prequel Bound in Blood (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) is out now if you want a mean FPS. The first step to improvement is knowing where you fell short. NBA Live 10 (Xbox 360, PS3, PSP) producer Sean O'Brien did just that in his EA Sports blog post, humbly admitting that NBA Live does need improvements to catch up to the superior 2K Sports franchise. In addition, the Electronic Arts exec promises that such improvements will be made and that NBA Live 10 will mark the the franchise's comeback.

Finally stepping up to the plate in defense of video games is Electronic Arts exec Peter Moore -- and to Mr. President, Barack Obama himself, no less! After recommending that kids should play out in the sunshine more rather than play videogames indoor, in his speech to the American Medical Association, Obama has now been challenged by Moore to get into a 30-Day Challenge.

As if in response to 2K Sports' decision to go with the Lakers' Kobe Bryant for the cover of NBA 2K10, Electronic Arts has revealed that NBA Live 10's cover athlete will be Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard. The game's cover athlete was announced by way of a new teaser trailer for the upcoming basketball game. You can check it out after the jump.

The Burnout Team is doing Speed. Need for Speed, that is. Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello clarified that the NFS and Burnout franchise will NOT be merging into one, although the Burnout Team, frontlined by Alex Ward of Criterion Games, will be taking care of the next NFS iteration.

"It's time to stop bad-mouthing EA." This is what David Rutter, producer for Electronic Arts FIFA game franchise, had to say to the naysayers and critics that have nothing but the worst to say about his company. There has been a lot of EA-bashing for some time now, so Rutter comes to EA's defense, with a small confession of his own.

Nothing feels quite like taking it strong against the defenders and scoring that sweet, sweet top-corner goal. For FIFA 10, Electronic Arts decided to raise the bar to give you a much better experience than any FIFA game before it. Amidst the heated discussion about heaven and hell and everything in between, and the protest that happened outside of the E3 event against EA and Dante's Inferno (Xbox 360, PSP, PS3), they said that the rally was just a [crappy] viral marketing campaign.

Not everyone who came to the E3 2009 Expo went there to enjoy the games being displayed. A religious group going by the name Salvationists Against Virtual and Eternal Damnation staged a protest outside the LA Convention Center to make it be known that they do not think Electronic Arts' video game adaptation of the classic Dante's Inferno is classy at all.
