Homebrew developer xart has announced on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums that slimChoice is now at version 1.0.4. For the uninitiated, slimChoice is an eLoader menu that combines a hot look with some equally hot functions.
Those who have already had experience using eMenu should have no problem with using slimChoice since it uses the same control scheme. Here's a list of what's been added since version 1.0:
v1.0.3.1
v1.0.3
v1.0.2 very short life
v1.0.1 & v1.0.11

A few days back, we found out that Fanjita and the rest of Noobz don't forget their promises when they released the HEN/Downgrader for firmware 3.11. Today, Noobz released another promised homebrew application, eLoader version 1.000.Before you go "but we already have Pandora to downgrade", this version of the eLoader is actually aimed at running those "tricky EBOOTs" on PSPs that already can and the PSP Slim & Lite. Chris Swindle explains: As a lot of people are finding out the PSP Lite is unable to run 1.50 kernel, this means that old homebrew games are not able to run on the PSP Lite custom firmware, however eLoader makes it possible to run some of these older games without needing to recompile them. So I hope all you new PSP Lite owners enjoy getting to see some of the old homebrew games running on the new device. Though amidst the pros come the limitations. Here are the known limitations as listed on the readme:

Still having problems with those hard riffs and chords? Don't worry because homebrew developer Joel Van is back with an improved version of GuitarHelper. The application, as the name suggests, assists and teaches users on how to play the guitar. GuitarHelper was originally from guitargod1134, but Joel Van has been the one updating it for the past few weeks now.
Now in version .5B, Joel Van promised that GuitarHelper now has lesser bugs and more content. Despite this, take note that this version still uses the same navigation system for v.5a, so the program shouldn't feel any alien at all. This is written in Lua and un-compiled. The EBOOT, by the way, is LUA player direct loaded into lowser (version .16 unmodded). Anyway, be sure to go over the Readme file a thoroughly before using this on your PlayStation Portable (PSP). All important details including controls and loading instructions can be found there. And as for the improvements made on GuitarHelper v.5B, here's the complete changelog:

Joel Van has released a new upgrade for guitargod1134's GuitarHelper application, which teaches people the basics of using a guitar. This version, called GuitarHelper v0.5a, has a ton of additional features as well, and comes in two different modes depending on your firmware. Here's what Joel Van had to say about this new version: Guitar Helper .5a has had some major changes and this is my first project that I've worked on without any major aid! I've written most this script, so alot of this stuff is my work and ideas. I've re-written the script now so that there is more memory management and this gives me the ability to implement more and more content without stressing our little PSP's ram! You'll find the changelog below, and it's pretty extensive. We suggest you check out GuitarHelper's readme, as there's also been some changes in the control scheme as well as two different versions: one for the OE/1/ELOADER/HEND users, and another for users of 1.5. In any event, enjoy your download and rock on!

Okay, since you'll probably want to know what's new with Zx-81'a PSP2600 Atari 2600 emulator for the PSP, we'll cut right to the chase. It has the multiple keyboard mapping feature (thanks to Pou-chan) from the PSPAtari emulator v1.0.6, but more importantly, PSP2600 sports a new graphics engine that runs off the PSP GU for rendering purposes.
