A new update for the TurboGrafx-16 (also known as PC Engine) emulator for the PSP has been released by an unknown Japanese coder. The PCE emulator has now been updated to version 0.82b3. The latest update is a bug fix release.

Damn, after all these years I still haven't gotten over my seething hatred for the dog in Duck Hunt and that annoying little smirk of his. Anyway, the past seven days proved to be a very lean time for the PSP blog's homebrew section. While the emulation scene got some action thanks to updates to some of the more popular emulators out there, the applications side of things didn't fare so well. PSP homebrew developer ZX-81 has returned with a brand new update for PSPColem, the PSP port of the ColEm ColecoVision emulator. This update features better emulation speed, new background graphics, a text editor, and more.

A new update of the Java-based PSP emulator for PC has been released. The latest revision of JPCSP improves the sound emulation in Tales of Eternia.

PSP homebrew developer lbicelyne is back again with another release of his FBA4PSP emulator. Originally ported by OopsWare to the PSP, FBA4PSP emulates MC680000/Z80-based arcade games, making them playable on the Sony PlayStation Portable.

Homebrew developer xart has finally added GUI functions as well as a couple of other useful ones to SXLibrary. Hopefully this version of xart's library will further help other PSP homebrew developers with their own projects. The full changelog is available after the jump.

Here's a New Year release from PSP homebrew developer uberjack: a new version of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum emulator, Fuse PSP. Notable additions in this release include support for compressed disks, extra button options, and the ability to export save states to other versions of the emulator.
