PSP homebrew dev eskema, who's always had a fondness for making 2D sprite games, has released Drunken Tale. Auraomega said it best when he said it's like Chip's Challenge. ("Anyone else remember Chip's Challenge?") More details after the link.Download: Drunken Tale v1 Visit: QJ.NET PSP Development Forums |

War and Warriors is another charming little retro-styled game released
by Eskema (if you can rightly call war, death and destruction
charming). You play a fellow tasked with getting supplies from point A
to point B within a set amount of time; a job made slightly more
complicated by the fact that you're doing this in the middle of a
warzone.Download: War and Warriors v1.0 Visit: QJ.NET Development Forums |

Homebrew hombre Eskema just dropped by a short while ago at the boards to let us know about a game to die for. He's just released Biohazard2 v2.0, latest version of the shoot 'em up fest you guys probably remember back in September. There's not really much to explain in game mechanics here - just blast as many of the rotting heaps as you can, look for the exit, and run like a headless chicken. As for the controls:

Eskema from our forums has just released the second version of his homebrew game, Biohazard. In case you don't remember, we had covered the release of the first version a few months ago. As Eskema has promised everyone who've played his first release, you'd find this a lot different. He has changed the whole style of gameplay. Quoting Eskema, "Hi all, here is my last homebrew biohazard2, for all those play my biohazard1 this game isn't the same style. This is a minigame designed to enjoy killing those freaks zombies." Now none of our release posts would be complete without screenshots, and here they are: There's just one tiny problem though, the game isn't in english...we don't think it would matter much though, unless there's some dialogs in there. Anyways, on with the download link. |

We have updated you before on a homebrew game called Biohazard PSP developed by Eskema. It's a beta version of a 2D adventure game based on the Biohazard/Resident Evil series. Apparently, Eskema is not the only one inspired by the Resident Evil series. CtrlAltDeleteDie is working on a text adventure/RPG/action shooter/button masher game for PSP also called Biohazard PSP. Based on the style of Resident Evil (a.k.a. Biohazard), CtrlAltDeleteDie's Biohazard PSP will be a text RPG game bearing a battle system with multiple enemies and a real-time fighting system. Just like any other RPG, players will get to choose weapons and items to fight zombies and other monsters. For now, it's still a work-in-progress but CtrlAltDeleteDie hopes to include an actual RPG system, and not a text system, in the future. By the way, it is being programmed in LUA. While waiting for the game to be released, CtrlAltDeleteDie has generously provided three combat test screens for your viewing pleasure: View: [Forum Release Thread] |

Eskema from our forums has just released a new homebrew game, Biohazard. It's a 2D adventure game based on the Biohazard/Resident Evil series. And although the game is still in beta, there shouldn't be any major things to worry about. I've tried the game out and it's fun. There is one small complaint though. The control response is a little slow. He has promised to fix it in the upcoming versions. He's planning to update it by next week. Lets hope he's up to the task. Anyways, a couple of screenshots:
He has released a 1.5 version only. Pester him a little in our forums to make him release one for 2.XX firmware. Download: [Biohazard] View: [Forum Release Thread] |
