Festi's popular GuitarStar homebrew clone of Guitar Hero has gotten a mod version from one JR59278. Everything's still intact - especially the Frets on Fire compatibility - but the modification here involves more of its graphical presentation. JR59278 has now made GuitarStar look more like Guitar Hero by skinning it with some GH-ish theme.

The week was a pretty good one for the PSP homebrew scene, punctuated by the release of a new iR Shell. It's not quite the uber cool "advanced multi-tasking" iR Shell just yet, but it does add a couple more features to an already awesome piece of 'brew. The release ratio was still skewed heavily towards the applications, but a couple of good homebrew games did get released as well. Let's get right on down to the rundown!

Rock Band may be officially coming to the PSP, but thankfully, homebrew developer festi hasn't stopped developing the homebrew version of the game yet. Here's a new version of GuitarStar, the Guitar Hero clone for the PSP.

Festi has released an update to GuitarStar, the Guitar Hero homebrew clone for the PSP. In case you missed the last release, what makes this one stand out is its compatibility with Frets on Fire music. This update fixes a bug that caused errors in the game.

We haven't had a Guitar Hero homebrew clone of late. There was that Guitarra Gero back in September, but now here's something new. GuitarStar v1.00 comes from French coder festi. Though it's still in its early stage, it already has one big feature: song compatibility with Frets on Fire! Yes, you can add your own Frets on Fire music!
