Here's some good news for you all, homebrew developer Art has released a new update for Bitmap Hunter. This homebrew app is designed to search and directly edit monochrome, 256 color or 16 bit bitmaps within firmware files for quick customization. The new update now supports 16 bit color mode and added more features.

Last week, Konami unveiled the reinvention of its first Silent Hill classic, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Today, we've got the first artwork of the game, headed to the PS2, PSP, and Wii. We've also picked up on more interesting gameplay details, particularly on the extensive use of the Wiimote for controls.

Developer support for the PlayStation Portable continued to grow this past week, what with some new announcements regarding new titles for the Sony handheld and updates on the games we already know are coming. Not everything's been apples and rainbows though: rumors about a PSP port of the Ghostbusters video game was flat out debunked by Atari. We also got teased with more PSP support that we won't ever get to see unless we move to Japan. But enough chitchat. Let's get this thing rolling!

I know it's pretty tough to hear of something and want it so bad yet have little to no means of getting - much less getting to use it to its full potential. But, for those that do live in Japan, Edia Co. Ltd. has announced that they'll be releasing the third version of their Maplus GPS software come July 9. Navi 3 will have 3D rotateable maps, MP3 player functionality, among others.

News flash, folks! Or rather, rumor flash. Word's circulating around the web that Sony is conducting a survey asking gamers about potential hardware and software features for a new PSP. So they say.

GPS support for the PSP in North America has been a long time coming, but a report from CES 2009 says that the device is still on track for a release this year. Anyone still hyped up about this?
