Sony Japan has added ten new downloadable PlayStation titles to its PlayStation Store offerings. These PSOne classics can be downloaded to the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 video game platforms for 600 yen (around US$ 5) each. Here's a list of the new titles:
  • PSN - Image 1Sanwa Pachinko Paradise
  • Sanwa Pachinko Paradise 2
  • Alundra
  • XII Jumbo
  • Popologue
  • Hanafuda Graffiti Koikoi Monogatari
  • Echo Night #2
  • King's Field III
While this is already a sizable addition, what's even bigger news is that this is only the first of two updates. Apparently, the Japanese PlayStation Store will be getting two archive updates a month starting this month. We'll bring you more updates as soon as the next batch of PSOne titles are announced.

PSP Gallery Demo made with the Dungeons Engine 2 - Image 1

PSP homebrew developer charnold, who is known for his work on the homebrew PSP Dungeons, has come out with a rather impressive tech demo of his Dungeons Engine 2. The PSP Gallery Demo shows off the improvements that were made to the engine such as the rendering of colored lightmaps and more complex 3D objects (as compared to the original build).

The demo is pretty sweet and allows you to walk around a virtual gallery. The textures, renders, and lighting look professionally done, the question is how was it done? The developer gave word that the lightmapped polygons are rendered in two passes or more, each with a different texture. There can be more depending on the image being rendered such as graffiti or glowing lights.

So download the program and try it out. Charnold has stated that this engine might even be developed into a game in the future, which is something that you might want to look out for.

The Warriors graffiti ad? - Image 1

Okay, first off, it's either Rockstar is pulling off a Sony advertising boo-boo OR one fanboy decided to do it for them. Yes boys and girls, what you're seeing above is a graffiti ad (if we could still call it that) for The Warriors spotted by PSPFanboy's Andrew Yoon whilst walking along downtown New York.

If you could still remember back in January last year, graffiti ads were found all over the walls of various U.S. cities (and even Amsterdam) to promote the PSP - much to the dismay of locals who got irate upon seeing the ads. During that whole fiasco, there was the issue of whether Sony really was responsible for the ads popping up or whether they were just mere "fandalisms" that the company wasn't aware of.

Same thing applies here. Although Rockstar isn't exactly the type of company to worry over such things (hello, GTA lawsuits?), the fact that the company's office is located in NYC could fan the possible flames they might get from such sightings. But whether this is the company's doing or just some random fanboy vandalizing the streets of NY for kicks, no one knows for sure. One thing you could say though, Rockstar couldn't get any more 'street' than this. Harhar.
