But I'd have to say that the Industry News section of our QuickPeek is clearly the winner of the highlights award for our 77th issue. News-hopping all over the internet, you may have come across an article or two about this massive full-size Gundam watching over the city of Tokyo over the past couple of weeks. It's huge, it's awesome, and I bet the Japanese sleep better at night knowing they have a big-ass robot to save the day from terrorist attacks. The European PlayStation Blog was launched earlier, while the US blog still happily spreads the joy around with the goods. This week on the PlayStation Store comes the classic Resident Evil Director's Cut on PSone classics, Sackboy gets more costume packs, and loads of FREE DLC. It's the US PlayStation Store's turn now to roll the list out, and this week features two new downloadable games, two additional classics, and a whole lot of DLC. This week on the European PlayStation Store - some good DLCs coming your way. Street Fighter IV gets alternate costumes, and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift gets the Lunar Tec Signature Livery Pack. Bejeweled 2 and Zen Pinball are also now available for download, among others. Let's head over to the gaming Mecca and see what our fellow gamers in Japan have been getting busy with. According to this latest report from Famitsu publisher, Enterbrain, the Pocket Monsters show some strength as Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon: Sora no Tankentai tops the sales chart in the week of March 30th to April 26th. A new version is out for JPCSP, the Java-based PSP emulator for the PC. This version fixes a UMD drive issue, though no further details on its implications were released.

Here we have a breakdown of the Top 100 games that sold in Japan during 2008. The list was published by Enterbrain earlier this month, and now also appears on this week's Famitsu issue. Mostly dominated by Nintendo titles, the list still has some noteable Sony games somewhere near the top too (surprise, surprise, MHP 2nd G reigns king, as always). Meanwhile, the 360 is... well, at least it's represented, care of Tales of Vesperia... and *only* Tales of Vesperia. Yeah, right down at #82.

Take out your hair gel and mascara, things are about to get really emo. Hong Kong gaming mag GameWave, who's been pretty accurate about this stuff before, is listing a PSP port of the original Persona from the PSOne. We may be seeing a complete remake in the near future.
