It seems IO Interactive is keeping quite busy these days. They already got two games in the pipeline -- Hitman 5 and Kane & Lynch 2 -- and now reports are suggesting that there's another new IO title on the way.

Here is this week's PlayStation Store update for Europe. Leading the pack is the classic PlayStation One game, Final Fantasy VII, available in English and Spanish with the French and German language versions releasing tomorrow. You can also try the unique puzzle game Trash Panic, or slug it out and relive the Pacman vs. Hitman fight in the Fight Night Round 4 demo. Last year, Square Enix dropped a lot of jaws when it was announced that Final Fantasy XIII would also be coming to the Xbox 360. This year they're planning to make another big splash.

Things are looking up for Eidos, which had a very tough year. The owner of the Tomb Raider franchise is being courted by several big names, including the titan studio Square Enix, who's looking to expand with more titles that appeal to Western tastes.

Well if Lara doesn't appeal to Western tastes I don't know what does.

Marvelous Interactive recently released a new gameplay video promoting the latest game in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! video game series, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Battle Arena. You can expect to see Tsuna and his off-beat Mafia family in more hardcore fighting action in this latest installment for the PlayStation Portable. Check out the video after the jump.

Following the Grand Theft Auto IV copycat crime in Thailand, the government's Ministry of Culture has tightened its grip on video games and banned five games from being sold in the country. Details after the read more link below.

People say Jane Cavanagh, the founder of the SCi Entertainment Group, has just released the company's 2007 annual report where they revealed that sequels to the Tomb Raider, Hitman, and some of their other IPs are in development. Worried about the possibility of video game violence tainting the minds of children, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy came up with a "do not buy" list of violent video games.

Contrary to what most might expect, Rockstar Games' controversial Manhunt 2 (Wii, Sony PlayStation Portable) isn't the number one violent video game, but Grand Theft Auto is. Check out the Top Ten list in the full article.

Now this is a pretty interesting way to get your movie to the public. John Lamond Jr. and the folks at Sukhumvit Films are releasing the entirety of their movie for free download onto your PSP.

You read that right. An entire feature film for download.

The film, "Killing Time (24/7)," is the story of Jake, a professional hitman who does nothing but hang out with friends and enjoy the company of women between jobs: a dead-end life, if you could call it that. In this strange tale, Jake finds the monotony of his occupation disrupted when he finds out, a bit late, that his next job is to assassinate his father.

If it isn't obvious yet, you can definitely tell that this is going to have mature themes involved. Their synopsis calls it "a gritty nihilistic look at modern-day amoral, materialistic city living." We just call it a cool way to let the public know about a movie.

While the movie is free, there is a link for donations on their website if you happen to like the film. They're also coming out with a DVD of the film with extra features for those who want to watch the film on a bigger screen.
