Homebrew coder ac-portugal has released the first version LuaMP3, a simple MP3 player coded in Lua. Some of the features of the initial release includes -- ability to chnage the CPu speed, display the time, loading bar identical to the iPhone and more.

The homebrew coders from the ScummVM Team has finally release version 1.0.0 of their classic multi-platform point-and-click adventure games emulator. The latest ScummVM update is said to be one of the best release of the emulator so far. Details after the jump.

Sony's strategy for the PSP Go -- and to a certain extent, for older PSPs -- seems to target Apple's App Store directly. In the eyes of Sony Europe's head of developer relations, Zeno Colaco, they're not directly gunning for the App Store at all, but they will be doing things better by giving more support and visibility to developers.

More from PAX 2009, Subatomic Studios has finally released the first gameplay trailer of the PSP adaptation of Fieldrunners. The tower defense game originally released for the iPhone and iPod Touch is now included in the PSP Minis lineup that will be available exclusively in the PlayStation Store. More after the break.

Exciting past couple of weeks, eh? The price cuts mad rush continued on this week with Microsoft joining in on the bandwagon. Meanwhile, Nintendo's sitting prettily and quietly, choosing the status quo, because, hey, they're on top in the status quo. Wouldn't want to change a thing about that now, would you?
