E3 may not be as complete this year with several publishers missing - Image 1Normally, a major event such as E3 would have all the big name companies attending it.  This year will be different, though, as five publishers have decided to drop out of the event altogether. Part of the reason may be due to reported bad blood between them and ESA president Mike Gallagher. More on this after the jump.

Say it ain't so: Quake 3 server on your PSP - Image 1Portable servers may be as high-tech as your Cobalt Qube server (if you do have one), but the Sony PlayStation Portable can be just as useful if not as robust. News trickled in that a coder by the name of envivre has just created a port of the Quake 3 server code over to the PSP, and initial feedback branded the project as successful - even if only partially. id Software, Fountainhead open mobile division for DS, PSP, cell phones - Image 1Renowned video game development studio id Software Fountainhead Entertainment announced today a new partnership that will bring about the new division id Mobile. This new department is tasked to come up with games for mobile phones, Nintendo DS, and the Sony PlayStation Portable.

Doom for the PSP v1.4, by Chilly Willy - Image 1We've just recieved word that Chilly Willy has released a new build of the much-loved PSP port of ID Software's Doom FPS.
