Have you picked up your PSP Gos yet? Been checking out the PSP Minis game selections? If yes, then you probably have noticed that the game prices are double that of their iPhone App Store counterparts.

Sony's strategy for the PSP Go -- and to a certain extent, for older PSPs -- seems to target Apple's App Store directly. In the eyes of Sony Europe's head of developer relations, Zeno Colaco, they're not directly gunning for the App Store at all, but they will be doing things better by giving more support and visibility to developers.

More from PAX 2009, Subatomic Studios has finally released the first gameplay trailer of the PSP adaptation of Fieldrunners. The tower defense game originally released for the iPhone and iPod Touch is now included in the PSP Minis lineup that will be available exclusively in the PlayStation Store. More after the break.

The homebrew coders from the ScummVM Team have released a new update for the classic point-and-click adventure games emulator. The latest release candidate update has added support for more games, more improvements and other bug fixes.

Exciting past couple of weeks, eh? The price cuts mad rush continued on this week with Microsoft joining in on the bandwagon. Meanwhile, Nintendo's sitting prettily and quietly, choosing the status quo, because, hey, they're on top in the status quo. Wouldn't want to change a thing about that now, would you? It's also one event after the another, from E3 to GamesCom to upcoming PAX and TGS. If this does not revive interest in the industry, I don't know what will. Of all the places to find potential gaming news, it had to be on a model's blog (via Kotaku). International model Jacquetta Wheeler posted in her Vogue blog account (yes, models get to blog in Vogue, us mere mortals in myspace) that she saw Beaterator in actual play ... in an iPhone.

Gameloft has announced it's five titles that will be available for the PSP this holiday season. The five games that will be hitting the PSN Store are Real Soccer 2010, Hero of Sparta, Asphalt 5, Let's Golf! and UNO. The game details after the break.
