There's been no shortage of shell applications floating around the PlayStation Portable homebrew community lately. Ubuntu 7.10 v0.1 beta is the latest homebrew shell program from developer Jack and it runs many of the standard features found in similar applications. However, what makes this shell program more enticing than others is that it was licenced under the freeware distribution of GNU/linux. More on this in our full article after the jump.

Homebrew developer PspZorba dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development forum and informed us that the latest build of PSPlorer v1.4 can now be downloaded from the homebrew app's mother site. The newest includes several functions that are very useful for the more advanced user. You can read about all the changes since our previous coverage of PSPlorer in our full article.

If you're wondering if developer FaT30YCG still has any plans of reviving Adhoc Messenger, the rather useful homebrew instant messenger app for the PlayStation Portable, then don't worry. A new mod designed by aldostools picks off where the previous version left off with the Unofficial Adhoc Messenger 2.6. Steady those fingers and for the sake of not jamming up the Internet, please avoid all those F5 button mashing. We've just got word that Dark AleX and Team M33 will soon be releasing CFW PSP 3.80 M33-5. In light of this announcement, DAX is asking users to wait patiently.

You will be glad to know that version 1.8 of the PC-based application PSP Content Manager is now compatible with custom firmware 3.80 M33. Coder Red_Squirrel dropped by our forums and released the patch.

Italian homebrew developer Red_Squirrel dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a very useful application called RS-GUI PopStationMD.

It is currently on version 1.0b and is a Windows-based program. This specific release is directly concerned with Dark AleX's multi-disc Popsloader. More details after the jump!

Red_Squirrel has just released the latest version of Alternative VSHMenu, which has all the functions of M33's VSHMenu but with some added functions like changing the background color. A couple of bugs have been fixed for Alternative VSHMenu v3.0 and introduces some new features. Check out the full article for more details and the changelog.
