The weekend's here but there's still no 5.03GEN-B for those who want to put some homebrew in their PSP-3000s thanks to more unforeseen bugs. Don't you just hate when that happens? Too bad too, since there was a nice crop of homebrew apps and games that came out in the past seven days. No worries, though -- the team behind the GEN firmware is still hard at work on a release. Due to some unforeseen bugs mucking up the works, custom firmware 5.50GEN-C at the start of the week turned out to be more underwhelming than we hoped. Good thing Team GENyUS was able to roll out a new revision a few days after, with another update launching in the days that followed. 5.50GEN-C may have set the week off on a sour note, but thanks to 5.50GEN-D things still turned out for the best. Despite Sony's efforts to keep homebrew out of their PSP handheld, the homebrew community is still going strong. This week saw news of Sony-instigated blockages, which will hopefully be circumvented by the newly-announced (and not yet released) new CFW update from the GEN team. It's been a rather busy seven days for the PSP homebrew community. The great homebrew hope is still burning bright thanks to Freeplay's hack for the PSP Go (that was fast, wasn't it?), and custom firmware users who don't want to upgrade to non-M33 firmware have steadily been given better and better chances of playing new games on their old firmware thanks to Yoshihiro's frequent Game Decrypter updates and the arrival of a new app called Eboot Patcher. All that and more homebrew goodness in the PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior!

The JPCSP Team are back once again to release a new update for the PlayStation Portable emulator for PC. The latest JPCSP update fixes some minor bugs from the previous release to further improve the stability of the homebrew.

Gotta level with you guys. This week's PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior is a bit on the lean side, what with all of the news coming out of TGS. Still, our dedicated homebrew masters managed to come up with a few big ones in the past seven days.
