Konami gave out a treat to all the Metal Gear Solid fans around the globe as they released the demo for the new Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. If you're good enough to get a rank of A or S, you'll even get an exclusive PSP wallpaper. And you can play co-op too with your friends.

Think you know all there is to know about the world of Metal Gear? Well, maybe you do after you've read everything in the free downloadable MGS4 Database five times over. All the same, you really can't get enough of Metal Gear, but since Old Snake is too frail and cranky to star in another game, we'll be taking a look at who will be in the PSP prequel, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. We're less that two weeks away from the PSP Go's launch but it looks like people are still very divided over it. It's not just the gamers too -- even retailers are torn. Some have predicted its failure while a few have even outright opposed the handheld and Sony's download-only model for it. Sony, on the other hand, seems all set to follow through not only with the Go, but with the PSP brand as a whole, as rumors (and history, really) suggest that there are more hardware iterations in the pipeline. We're just about a week away from this year's Tokyo Game Show. We've seen the lineups for quite a few big-name videogame companies by now, and here's another one to add to the mix.

Let's face it. No matter how badly we may want to, not all of us can just go to Japan and get some hands-on time with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. For the lucky few, however, Kojima Productions has detailed the playable demos they're bringing to TGS 09.

In case you missed the news, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be sneaking in to the Tokyo Game Show in playable form. If the thought of waiting in line to play it on a demo unit doesn't sit too well with you, fear not. Konami's got you covered.

Thanks to Konami's enthusiasm to show where their booth will be located at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, they have, inadvertently, leaked the entire floor plan for the said event.

The PSP Go, which Sony is apparently banking on to stop the rampant piracy on their handheld system, isn't even here yet but talk about another PSP revision is starting up again. These rumors never really stop, do they? At least the week also saw a few more big-name updates: a pair of bundles for Gran Turismo, a tighter release window for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, and what's this? Sibling rivalry between the Rising and Peace Walker teams?

The week may have been dominated by PS3 news but that doesn't mean the QJ PSP blog went without. We saw a lot of updates this week about upcoming releases for the Sony handheld, both from the West and from the East. Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker made another big splash at the events circuit this week during the ongoing GamesCom at Cologne. The game was shown off during the event via a 9-minute-long video that gave out a few more insights into the gameplay, particularly Peace Walker's co-op structure. Check out the vid after the jump.
