Days ago, homebrew developer for the PSP Lucifer_V has released Theme Swapper v0.2. Basically, this application will allow you to easily swap among different types of XMB themes - including changing the icons, backgrounds, battery bars, and other XMB aesthetics. Now, through our forums, Lucifer_V informed us that he has released v0.3 of this application. This time around, he shares that v0.3 will allow you to flash full XMBs. He also reminds you that the enclosed backgrounds, icons, and waves were not created by him and that the app writes to your flash0, so there's always a possibility that your PSP is gonna be bricked. But not to worry, as long as you don't change his code, nothing will go wrong, he shares. Now, that we have done our part by reporting about Lucifer_V's new release, you should do yours. What's that you may ask? Well, all you gotta do is check out and understand the readme file that comes with the download so as you could maximize the app and you won't induce harm to your PSP. Lucifer_V has released Theme Swapper v0.2, an application that'll allow you to easily swap among different types of XMB themes, including changing the icons, backgrounds, battery bars, and other XMB accoutrements. According to Lucifer_V, you can also save your current theme to your memory stick and then flash it back at a later time. Now, this is his first release, and we're actually quite impressed by what he's been able to do. Comments haven't been forthcoming on the forums post, so you may want to give the application a try and let him know what you think. Still, he has plans of expanding the app to flash whole themes in one go, so you may just be interested in seeing how this app pans out. Just remember that this does have flashing capabilities and is therefore capable of possibly of bricking PSPs. Be very careful with using this app as it also doesn't have a manual, so you can avoid problems. That being said, enjoy the application. Download: Theme Swapper v0.2 Visit: PSP Development Forum |
