QJ.NET - Image 1We've entered into a new month, and you know what that means for our weekly feature articles. That's right, it's time to get zipped! And just to recap, this month marks a rather special one because we've branched out beyond the PSP handheld, and has, for the first time, done both QuickGuide and How-To issues for the iPhone. Just do note, too, that this won't be the last either.

FreePlay - Image 1The homebrew community sure has a lot of memorable icons, each one of them quirkier than the next. Enter FreePlay. Yes, I'm sure you've heard of him - what with talks of the PSP-3000 exploit pervading the air recently, FreePlay's name has been thrown around a lot these days. So, following last week's Who's Who QuickGuide on MaTiAz, we now venture into the GripShift exploit's other half. How well do you know this free radical, anyway? His influence in the homebrew community runs deeper than you think!

QuickJump QuickPeek - Image 1I don't know what's up with the scene now, but whatever it is, am liking it. It's raining news and updates, and thank god they're mostly for good games. Scratch that, I say they're GREAT games. We'll try to keep the chitchat to a minimum now, cos there's a lot in store for you in this issue of QuickJump QuickPeek. We're at #69, and your worlds are sure to go upside-down with delight, too.

QuickJump QuickGuide: Who's Who - Image 1From this issue of the QuickJump QuickGuide, we will be rolling out our thanks to the folks responsible for this new wave of brew development that all started with the release of the GripShift Exploit. We have several characters going into play for now, but as the devs deserve to each get their own time under the spotlight, we'll be focusing on them one by one. For this week's QJQG: Who's Who edition, we center our sights on the one-half of the GripShift Exploit team, MaTiAz.

Sony PSP - Image 1Inasmuch as the saying that "When a door closes, a window of opportunity  opens" is true, I guess the reverse of that holds just as much water as well. When a window opens, a door closes. Or something like that. While everyone is celebrating the highly successful TIFF exploit and HEN, Team Noobz is feeling a little downcast (although they too are celebrating!). Posting over at the Noobz site just now, Fanjita explains why they have mixed feelings about it. Check it out after the jump.

PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior - Image 1The PSP homebrew scene revolved around the Laughing Man TIFF exploit this week, and while there have been incidents of the exploit not working for some users, a general feeling of rejoicing was definitely in the air. Let's take a look back at what transpired.

Wow! - Image 1The homebrew scene is buzzing wild again as Davee reveals at the MforMature Forums that he's got a new Kernel exploit, working on a new homebrew enabler, and he's looking forward to release it before Tuesday. If this is true, we might be looking at a new HEN for the PSP-3000.

PlayStation Portable - Image 1Man, when exploit fever hits, it hits hard! A user by the name of p2s2p on the Dark-AleX.org forums has apparently been able to run MaTiAz's Laughing Man TIFF exploit (the slim.tiff one, it seems) on a PSP-3000 with OFW 5.02.

PSP homebrew - Image 1It didn't take MaTiAz long to deliver on a promise, so here it is - the new version of the  Hello World TIFF exploit for FW 5.03. As for the other promise of "awesomeness" that he told us about in the previous release, well, we'll have to wait a bit more for that. In the mean time, let's knock ourselves out with this one, which is already "awesomeness" as it is.

PSP homebrew - Image 1In the words of MaTiAz himself, "The days of TIFF based exploits aren't long gone, at least not yet." The PSP homebrew stalwart once again brings the buzz back into the scene with the release of the third TIFF exploit for the PSP, the Hello World TIFF exploit for FW 5.03.
