Speaking with Eurogamer, Scott Warner revealed that once Pandemic Studios were done with Mercenaries 2 anything is possible - even a handheld version of the game. Here's Scott Warner's words:At the moment we're only concentrating on the versions of the game we've announced, but I'd love for us to work on a handheld version of Mercs! Anything's possible! What has Pandemic Studios currently busy at the moment is Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, which is being custom built for next-gen consoles, the PC, and the PS2. After they're done with that game, we just might see more Mercenaries for the PSP or the DS. Mercenaries 2 is set to feature fully destructible environments and is set to look a lot like Venezuela. This combination of destruction and Venezuela is something that the aforementioned country doesn't seem to like - heck they even asked Bono to do something about it. Anyhow, all the mercenary focus on next-gen platforms (and Venezuela) should end by Winter, as Mercenaries 2: World in Flames game is set to be released by then. Will we see a PlayStation Portable version of Mercenaries? We certainly hope. |

Ramirez Cruz is one angry Mexican. He lives in the somewhat disreputable town of Los Toros. Ramirez Cruz does not eat Chili con Carne for breakfast, lunch nor supper. He wants something more spicy and hotter. What Ramirez wants is Chili con Carnage.
Such is the title of the upcoming high action title from Eidos Interactive. The UK-based publisher-developer is well known for successful series such as Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain and Hitman among others. For their latest shooter game, Eidos ask the help of Deadline Games. In case you are wondering just how Ramirez Cruz is angry, Deadline Games CEO Chris Mottes shares: "It's the biggest explosion frequency and the highest takedown rate you will ever experience on the PSP." All in all, the game offers 19 missions across 7 different locations plus four game modes. Also, characters include mustachioed mercenaries, megalomaniacal crime-lords and chemically mutated super-Mama’s. Chili con Carnage is currently under development and we will be sure to update you as soon as new details about the game come out. |

Namco Bandai's Bounty Hounds have kept us tied around its fingers since last year. Who wouldn't be? With its incredible images and gripping storyline, all the delays seem like coquettish games, planned to keep us all the more entranced. Firmware 2.80 users will have the chance to take on the role of Maximilian, leader of the no mercy group of mercenaries, Bounty Hounds. The group is at war against an alien race called ETI (Extraterrestrial Intelligence) over the colonization of new interplanetary territories while trying to find habitable planets that humans can live in, with this downloadable demo for the game. Maybe 2.80 users can fill us in on the good and bad points of this game. Submit a game review on MyPSPUpdates perhaps? But, before we get ahead of ourselves, click on the download link first to access the playable demo. Download: [Bounty Hounds Playable Demo] |
