The upcoming platform ninja game from Metanet, N+, will be making its way to the Xbox 360 Live Arcade, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable. It gets kind of confusing since all versions have the same name. But you can bet all three versions aren't as identical as the name. MetaNet and SilverBirch Studios' Flash game port to the Sony PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS, N+ to be published by Atari, is shaping up to be a more epic puzzle game than its first iteration. It looks like European gamers will be getting their hands on N+, the handheld version of MetaNet's popular Flash game N, after all.

According to an admin post on the MetaNet website, N+ will indeed be released in Europe. This comes after an earlier report - which was apparently wrong - that the handheld game would only be coming to the U.S. MetaNet says that the game will be released in Europe, the U.S. and, of course, Canada.

N+ is currently being developed for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP handheld systems. The remake will include new features such as cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes and level sharing over the ad-hoc PSP system and wireless Nintendo DS connections. Oh, and the ninja doesn't have a name. That was a gaffe on this blogger's part. Thanks to the people who pointed it out.

 

Metanet Software, the creator of the flash game N, has come up with a unique way to drum up interest for the coming handheld and Xbox Live versions of its upgraded game, known as N+. It has started SUBLiME: the Submit Unique and Brilliant Levels in to Metanet Event, a level design contest that allows winners a chance to be featured in the final build of the game, as well as get free swag from the developers.

To join the contest, you have to download special versions of the N level editor to make console-specific versions of game levels and then create custom levels for the one you want to join. They'll only be accepting five entries per applicant though, so you might as well pick a handheld whose level creation you want to get credit for and send in your best work.
