The performance of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) back in the prime of springtime was a grand turnout for both the developers and publisher Take-Two Interactive. For all it's million selling feats though, it couldn't improve the sales of either Microsoft or Sony's next generation consoles. In its never-ending pursuit of innovation, Electronic Arts pushes the envelop of sports in video games further with the announcement of its new label, EA Sports Freestyle. It seems like Sony's PlayStation 3 is flying high as Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's David Reeves happily announced outstanding sales for the next-gen console over its closest rival, the Xbox 360. The numbers shown during the ongoing PlayStation Day event told of how the PS3 has already made over five million unit sales in Europe with various supplementary sales made from both the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation Portable platforms.
