eaIf this latest listing for Gamestop is any indication, it seems that EA is reviving a few of their classics for the PSP in a retro-compilation titled EA Replay. This probably does not come as a big surprise, as other big name publishers such as Capcom, Sega, Midway, Taito and Namco has released compilations for years on other platforms, and it seems that only now is EA jumping on the bandwagon.

According to Gamestop, EA Replay is slated for a October 3 release date with a retail price of US$29.99 and will feature 14 of EA's blasts from the past including:
  • B.O.B. : First released 1993
  • Budokan : First released 1990
  • Desert Strike : First released 1993
  • Jungle Strike : First released 1993
  • Haunting Starring Polterguy : First released 1993
  • Mutant League Football : First released 1993
  • Road Rash : First released 1992
  • Road Rash II : First released 1993
  • Road Rash III : First released 1995
  • Syndicate : First released 1995
  • Ultima - The Black Gate : First released 1994
  • Virtual Pinball : First released 1993
  • Wing Commander : First released 1993
  • Wing Commander - The Secret Missions : First released 1993
They sure dont make games like that anymore! Be sure to stay tuned to QJ.net for any further details.

MK UnchainedCan't wait to unleash Fatality on your opponent via the PSP? Neither can we. But we still have to wait this fall for Mortal Kombat: Unchained to grace our PSP's screens. To tide us all over, we have a Mortal Kombat: Unchained trailer for you to enjoy. Now, we're not running short of these Mortal Kombat eye candies, mind you. Previously we gave you another trailer, and a little earlier before that, a bunch of screenshots for your viewing pleasure.

So get some popcorn, grab a seat and enjoy seeing your favorite Mortal Kombat characters in action. This trailer (like the previous one), gives you a sneak peek of the different gameplay modes. One is called "endurance", which pretty much goes by the "fight until you drop dead from exhaustion" principle; another is the RPG-style "konquest" mode, as well as chess and puzzle kombat modes.

More updates (and good stuff like this, hopefully) as we get them.

Players will be able to go head-to-head with a friend in a street race or cruise mission using Wi-Fi functionality, or experience Story Mode which allows you to race through 5 Los Angeles city re-creations while finding treacherous shortcuts and surviving death-defying jumps. One of the new features is an all-new Stunt Arena, where players can fly over ramps and perform stunts in the air and drive the loop-de-loop to gain massive bursts of speed, all the while collecting golden tokens to unlock extra content. The game will feature more than 36 licensed rides including muscle, tuner and exotic vehicles when it's released in September. myst pspIt started out as a rumor on famitsu late last year, and then screenshots popped up here and surfaced there. They even delayed its original release date. But someone at Midway must have forgotten to give the official statement that Myst is coming to PSP.

Midway finally remembered and announced that Myst for PSP is officially on its way. Myst is the latest epic adventure from Cyan Worlds that have thrilled PC gamers with its "emotive and visual feasts."

The PSP version promises players even more. Midway says handheld development will engage the player like never before and literally take them to another world.

Myst carries no instructions and clueless players begin a voyage of exploration on a mysterious and deserted island. Alone like Tom Hanks in that movie where he looked really filthy, gamers must set out to explore its grandeur and mystery.

This is where the adventure begins to unfold. The island hosts more intrigue and injustice than Washington, DC. It defies all boundaries of space and time. Every action can somehow rescue an unfortunate individual stranded somewhere in a parallel dimension.

The Myst adventure is a unique combination of lavish environments, puzzles, mazes, and a sizzling underlying drama. But the press release stopped here. More details about the game and release information will be made available shortly. After all, this is just the official announcement that Myst for PSP. But we said that already.
