E3
is over and done with, leaving some of us hopeful for games queued up
for the next couple of months. That doesn't necessarily mean we should
turn a blind eye to this week's releases though. There are still a couple of gems not worth passing up.While Nintendo doesn't have anything up for this week, it's going to be a busy one for the Sony and Microsoft camp as things heat up on the gridiron with All-Pro Football 2K8 and NCAA Football 08, both available on the 360 and PS3. Over at the handheld side, we've got a rapping dog in the form of PaRappa the Rapper and Namco Bandai's latest Tales installment, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, for the PSP. Desktop gamers also find a treat this week: the PC version of GRAW 2 is to be released, as well as the Mac OS X version of World War II Online. On with the festivities then! We've got a touchdown to score. All-Pro Football 2K8. Sports-buffs wanting to scratch their jock-itch for more football titles might want to give this a try. Boasting realistic football mechanics and, more importantly, a roster of football legends like Jerry Rice and Joe Montana could make this a sports title that competes with the likes of Madden.

And the E3 madness continues, with the other big players in the industry giving the public a sneak peek at the heat they're currently packing (or about to pack). This time, it's all about Take-Two, publisher of this and last generation's most controversial franchises, namely Bully, Manhunt, and Grand Theft Auto. We give you the skinny on what went down in the legendary company's E3 2007 Briefing. The entire E3 update after the jump! |

UK, get ready for Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. as it is bound your way this November 17th. Created by Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment, this game is an example of how strategy gameplay should be combined with real-time combat.
Enter the world of Tony Montana as he rose to power in the world of Miami back in 1983, drug -idden as it was. Here, experience the epic as you go head-to-head against other drug cartels, until you have spread your bases wide enough to be declared as the ultimate Kingpin of the city. For the story-based single-player mode, you will have to complete a series of missions that are lifted from the actual movie where the game is taken from, in order to conquer "turfs" in Miami. The challenge is for you to be able to handle larger territories as you go up the levels, as well as gain more foes along the way. The wireless multi-player mode, meanwhile, allows up to four players posing as criminal cartels racing against each other for money and territory. Beginning with a "Land Grab", each cartels will lay claim to their share of Miami. Now, you will each take turns managing the production and distribution of drugs while carefully weaving your own strategy to overpower your opponents until eventually, you get to overtake their turf. So set your strategies straight. This game will be waiting for you come next week. |
