WWE as action-adventure RPG? - Image 1Let's talk about mythology for a while and no, this is not going to be a lecture similar to the ones you get in your Literature classes. Let's talk about gods and goddesses in relation to video games and the World Wrestling Federation (WWE).

God of War: Chains of Olympus screenshots - Image 1

God of War: Chains of Olympus' March 4 release date seems to be a few light years away, but since we can't do anything about it, here's another batch of screenshots to make the waiting game for Ready At Dawn's God of War title for the PSP worth it.

The screens, as usual, look sweet. We honestly couldn't wait to see Kratos roam the PSP screens, but we couldn't tell if seeing these screenshots can make the wait easier or just worsen it. In this batch of screenshots from God of War: Chains of Olympus, we see the Ghost of Sparta taking a trip to Tartarus, the pit where the titans are kept in Greek Mythology.

If you want even more screenshots and missed the earlier updates, then feel free to go to this link after checking out the shots in this post.

QuickJump QuickList - Image 1

Admit it, playing as a pansy would suck even if it was the best video game ever made. That isn't to say having some random well-built guy with a deep voice on screen is enough to make a game fun. In fact, we've seen so many pitiful attempts of trying to make "cool" characters that it's not even funny anymore.

Fortunately, there's a handful of really manly video game dudes out there that aren't just made of testosterone and big muscles - they also have the history, personality, and attitude to be considered men among men. In this list are the most epic piles of manly turned video game characters. Are you man enough to take it?

10. Ryo Hazuki - Being manly doesn't mean you have to be some barbaric dude with an axe and a loud voice. As they say, the deep waters are more silent. Ryo Hazuki sounds and acts like your typical quiet guy, but fans of Shenmue know what lies beneath. He's not a womanizer or a jock. In fact, he ditched his cute lover, plays with kittens, and drives forklifts. What makes him so manly, then?

Even while facing potentially the strongest organized crime group in China, Ryo is deadset on facing Chiyoumen's leader, Lan Di, to avenge his father. Just like a man with strong convictions, this guy fresh out of high school has left worldy matters behind to do whatever it takes just to get closer to the fiend that killed his dad.

Click on for the rest of list, in which we ooze machismo and hose the decks down with testosterone. RAWR!

Radiant Mythology has already been released in the US and has received a lot of praise. The game features endless hours of gameplay as you lose yourself in a world rich with detail. You will have your selection of over 1000 items for weapons and armor which can be exchanged wirelessly with other PSPs.

If you've played games from Tales series before you'd be glad to find familiar faces in this game, including Chester and Arche from Tales of Phantasia and Lloyd and Raine from Tales of Symphonia.

Stars Blair, Jones return to lend voice talent for Hellboy: The Science of Evil - Image 1Konami, via a press release, announced today the full voice cast of its upcoming multiplatform title Hellboy: The Science of Evil (360, PS3, PSP). We now know that Mr. Ron Perlman who portrayed Hellboy himself in the movie, will lend his voice acting once more for the video game adaptation.

Quite interestingly, it seems that there will be some sort of a movie reunion as Perlman is joined by actor Doug Jones and the beautiful Selma Blair. Needless to say, Blair will be acting out the role of Liz Sherman while Jones will perform as Abe Sapien. Konami VP of Product Development Brian Christian had this to say,

With voice acting from Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones, and creative guidance from director Guillermo del Toro and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, Hellboy: The Science of Evil is shaping up to be one of the most faithful video game adaptations of an entertainment property of all-time.

The video game Hellboy, much like the movie and the comic version, focuses on Hellboy's incredible supernatural powers as he battle to overcome a terrible Nazi scheme. Players will be able to wield the Right Hand of Doom and use it against the enemies and the game's destructible environment.

Christian added, "Drawing from the mythology of both the comic books and the motion picture, we are able to tell an original story featuring all the characters, settings and visceral gameplay that fans could ever ask for in a Hellboy game".

Here are two new gameplay videos from Namco Bandai's upcoming PSP offering, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. The first video features a gargoyle fight with some four on four battle action. The second one, which you can check after the jump, is a bit more one-sided. It features the hero's party facing off against two bandit soldiers. Poor bandits never stood a chance.

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is slated for a Summer release in North America. If you wanna get this title, make sure you have US$ 39.99 by then.

One more vid after the jump!
