The Entertainment and
Leisure Software Publishers Association (ELSPA) and some of its partners recently conducted a raid which yielded illegally copied Nintendo DS games stored on discs. Meanwhile, ELSPA's crime unit head, John Hillier, wants to remind gamers (whatever console you may own) the detestable effects of piracy on the whole industry. For more on this raid, head on over to the full article for more information. |

If you're going to the San Diego Comic Con this July 26 to 29, then you're in for a treat. Nike any comic con there will be lots of flashing lights, gaming, and comic books. The big news for gamers, though, is the fact that a playable demo of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron for the PlayStation Portable will be available at the event. The game has a new storyline and multiplayer options that should keep Star Wars fans very happy. Your team in the game will be composed of some of the toughest SOBs in the galaxy. After all, what would you expect from a team created by none other than Han Solo himself? The game will also have online leaderboards and stat pages for online gamers who need to see their progress as compared to the rest of the PSP community. Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron is slated to be out this October, so that's definitely something to be on the lookout for. If you can't wait that long, why not head down to the San Diego Comic Con to try out the game? That should keep you sated till it comes out. |

We know, we know. You serious gamers don't really dig much of them off-topic stuff. But this is just way too cool to pass up! Besides, even them serious news channels do have some space for the fun stuff, so lighten up. Anyway, this is what has gotten all excited. If you're a Transformers fan, and a shoe-lover to boot, then this will get you revved up as well! Introducing, Nike's Transformers Air Trainer IIIs. Sporting the classic Transformers insignia with a splash of that wicked color combos we all grew to love, this one sure takes the cake. Now, we ain't got any official info on this baby, be it pricing or mere availability. We don't even know if they'll have this out only as a limited collector's stash. But nonetheless, we're excited as heck. Now you've got something to cool to wear when you trek back down to the good ol' times. |

Lumines is a product of Tetsuya Mizuguchi's fascination with sound and light patterns. Catchy music and visual treats have set the game apart from other puzzle games in the market. It's the puzzle game with personality and style. Just like Mizuguchi himself.
In a video posted by Jason Bertrand (aka b1jasonb) of 1Up, it's easy to spot the developer with his blinding neon long sleeves shirt. Even his white undershirt has an orange-yellowish design that could just be a pattern taken from the games he created. But when he started showing off his Lumines-inspired Nike shoes, everything else around them just faded. The rainbow-rhinestone combo is much too Elton John-ish (or Liberace, your pick) for us, but hey, who are we to question Mizuguchi-san's taste?
