Great news, doods! Our favorite demon penguin is back for another adventure, so we all can enjoy those priceless moments of swearing in frustration once more. Nippon Ichi already made the confirmation - Prinny is marching into battle again, and yes, there's a Western release coming as well.

There's nothing like coming out of the Item World holding a shiny new overpowered piece of equipment. Anyone who's ever played Disgaea is well aware of the grinding that you have to invest in fully leveling an item, as well as the satisfaction of slaughtering tough baddies with one blow. NIS America has confirmed that the recently announced PSP titles for PSN US will soon be heading in the European PSN in the next few weeks.

Uncool. Expensive. That's what Apple thinks of the PSP. That may well be, but thanks to TGS we heard a lot of good -- and frankly, some really bad -- news for the Sony handheld. The good news is that there are free games in store for those upgrading to the PSP Go. The bad news is that you won't be able to play your sizable collection of UMD games if you trade in your UM drive-equipped PSP just to have enough money for that darn Go. Sucks, right? With all the big news coming out of TGS, it's easy to lose track of announcements for the more niche titles. I don't want that to happen, so here's an update on what Nippon Ichi Software has in store for PSP and PS3 gamers in the US.

Remember that Japanese flyer we posted back in July? The one where this dude is shown being able to equip drills and Prinnies? As it turns out, Nippon Ichi wasn't teasing a new Disgaea game, despite the Prinny gear that would tell you that it is. It's a new dungeon RPG called Zettai Hero Kaizou Keikaku, which roughly translates to Absolute Hero Modding Project.

Earlier I posted about the playable titles for Sony consoles that will be available at TGS 09. This is a follow up. None of these titles will be playable, but they will be on the show floor. Among these are a brand-new Disgaea title and a PSP remake of Thexder, which has been rumored before.

Nippon Ichi brings another of their enhanced ports to the PSP, this time with La Pucelle: Ragnarok. Featured in this are new episodes with Demon Lord Prier and Disgaea characters making their appearances as extra bosses. The most intriguing bit about this video? Check it out in the full article.

For this week, we're taking a step back from the actual PSP hardware and focusing instead on its lifeblood: the games. Speaking of games, anybody tried out the Dissidia: Final Fantasy demo yet? I was feeling pretty confident in challenging the other QJ bloggers to try and face my blank-faced Onion Knight (seriously, his face is a mask of emotionlessness that can't be penetrated by mortal eyes) but then I found out that the demo didn't have multiplayer. Bummer, that. Anyway, on to the recap!

A Japanese flyer was spotted indicating what appears to be a new PSP project by Nippon Ichi Software. Judging by the appearance and the Prinny gear on the image, this one's definitely a Disgaea-related project. Are we looking at Disgaea 4?
