Thanks in large part to Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Sony is licking some serious PlayStation 3 sales chops. The performance of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) back in the prime of springtime was a grand turnout for both the developers and publisher Take-Two Interactive. For all it's million selling feats though, it couldn't improve the sales of either Microsoft or Sony's next generation consoles. January and February were Sony months so to speak, as the PlayStation 3 outsold the Xbox 360 for both periods. The record was broken when the March sales figures were published by the NPD, but industry analyst Michael Pachter believes that the PS3 will prove to shine once again in April. It's been around a month since the last NPD Group sales data were reported, and the new results are in for the month of March. According to the report, Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl, proved to be a "smash" hit.
