Invizimals - Image 1You guys remember Eye of Judgement and how it used the PlayStation Eye to capture gestures and the like? Invizimals for the PSP is kinda like that PS3 game infused with some Pokemon elements. It's totally being presented as a kiddie game but it does look interesting. Maybe this will be another guilty pleasure? Check out the E3 debut trailer after the jump.

SCE patents Broadcasting Engine, unannounced software - Image 1A quick search at the official website of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will inform you about Sony Computer Entertainment's future plans for its consumers base. New patents found include those that refer to downloadable games over at the Playstation Network that will utilize the peripheral PlayStation Eye.

While we are still quite uncertain as to what exactly these are, some of their descriptions read "computer games apparatus adapted for use with an external display screen or monitor." The patents for the yet-to-be announced software include Ember, SkyBlue, Carriage Return, Race Day, and Strings Attached.

Quite interestingly, SCEJ also patented a new trademark known as the Broadcasting Engine. Reading its accompanying description, it seems that this particular engine is more for hardware rather than software. The patent mentioned that it will be dealing with cellular phones, video cameras, DVD players, and video game machines among others.

The description for the Broadcasting Engine further revealed that this product will be used for downloadable media. It should be remembered that Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer mentioned before that they are currently devising a way that will allow all Sony products to interact with each other.

PlayStation Network v2.0 on October 30 - policy changes implemented - Image 1

Sony is set to give the PlayStation Network User Agreement an update that will definitely have an impact on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable owners. The said change will occur on October 30 and will launch PSN v2.0. Most of the updates refer to uploading materials on the online service.

We are still uncertain what effect this will have on gamers, but it seems that this is already setting the stage for the release of the PlayStation Eye. The changes also seem to pave the way for official game modifications and user content mods such as those on the upcoming Unreal Tournament 3. A part of the new agreement reads:

You may not take any action, or upload, post, stream, or otherwise transmit any content, language, images or sounds in any forum, communication, public profile, or other publicly viewable areas or in the creation of any Online ID that SCEA, in its sole discretion, finds offensive, hateful, or vulgar.

This includes but is not limited to, any content or communication that SCEA in its sole discretion deems racially, ethnically, religiously, or sexually offensive, libelous, defaming, threatening, bullying or stalking.

Aside from that, it seems that Sony will activate a feature on the PlayStation Network that will allow gamers to share official material such as screenshots of a game:

You hereby authorize SCEA to use, distribute, copy, display, and publish information relating to your game play for gaming purposes including tournaments and ranking, without payment to you.

In addition, you will have the option to post, stream or transmit pictures, photographs, game related materials, or other information through PSN to share with the PSN community ("User Material"), provided no rights of others are violated.

The remaining details discussed in the new contract involve viruses, malwares, and other malicious attacks. We believe that violating these new rules will have consequences so you might want to check the whole changes via our Read link below.

QJ.NET would like to thank lazycrazyboi for the heads up!
