Barney? - Image 1While checking out the Mishima Zaibatsu space on PlayStation Home a few days back, a guy walks up to me and asks for tips on how to beat Azazel. I may not have given satisfactory tips at the time, given that it was a loaded question for a guy who doesn't have a keyboard, so maybe this vid would help. As for those who like their Tekken 6 on a portable, here's a little something for the newly-launched version.

Patapon 2 PlayStation Home - Image 1After finding themselves in LittleBigPlanet, the Patapon army eventually made themselves at Home! If you missed last week's Patapon 2 launch event at PlayStation Home, don't fret - they're turning those virtual Pata-Home shirts into commemorative shirts in real life. Better get your game face on because these won't be for sale. They'll be holding a contest!

That bear with the bad touch - Image 1There's a new bill being hatched in Texas that may require convicted sex offenders to register their gamertags and other account names for online game networks like the PlayStation Network and Second Life with the fuzz. The new bill is called HB 22 and is headed to the Texas House of Representatives. If it passes there, it's next stop will be the Senate.

PlayStation Network - Image 1Sony's keynote at this year's Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas didn't have any big news about new software releases or hardware updates. Instead, it was filled with numbers. A lot of impressive numbers, at that.

fail - Image 1You've seen every screenshot, watched every movie, pre-ordered and camped out to get a hold of the game on day one, frantically ripped off the wrapping, shoved it into your machine of choice and then... disappointmenton. Here's how we felt, what about you folks?

John Koller - Image 1SCEA's John Koller once again gives us the rundown of what Sony has in store for the PlayStation 3 and the PSP. Some of what he said are stuff we heard before, but all in all, it sounds like gamers will have a lot of reasons to be really happy pretty soon.

TGS 2008 - Image 1We all got hyped up from news that kept pouring out of the Tokyo Game Show, but nothing beats actually being there. And being there twice. Sony recreated their real-life TGS booth on PlayStation Home, which they demonstrated at the actual event. Check out the full article for videos of both the real-life event and the virtual event (shown during the actual event - confusing, yes?).

Firmware update - Image 1As we make our way into the core of TGS - as well as all the insanity that goes with it - some sources are reporting that we'll be getting quite a big bunch of system updates from Sony next week: PSP FW 5.0 and PS3 FW 2.5. Which is plausible, to a degree. After all, huge changes are coming (PSP Store, PlayStation Home, PS3 bluetooth headset... etc. etc. etc.), and if all these changes are already around the corner, you're bound to hit new firmware updates eventually.
