We all knew Final Fantasy VII would be a huge hit on the PlayStation Network. The PSOne classic reached the top of the PSN download charts in its first week, but exact numbers weren't revealed. Now we finally have some official numbers from Sony, along with confirmation of some new additions to the PSOne Classics service.

Yep, you're not imagining it. That's really an ESRB page showing its rating for Wild Arms 2, and coming to the PlayStation Network to be made available to both the PS3 and the PSP.

If for some reason you're not able to download the demo of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite off of the PlayStation Network, you might want to stop by your local GameStop. They're giving away UMD versions of it.

PSPatrick, through mhorpheox, released the initial version of his new app, Passwords Viewer earlier today at our forums. This app allows you to view your passwords (duh) and your account ID stored in your system. This app runs on any 5.xx CFW and works with your PlayStation Network account info.

CNET is reporting that according to their music industry sources, Sony has been having preliminary talks with some major recording companies about the possibility of providing downloadable music for the PSP through the PlayStation Network.

And you thought ChickHEN updates have reached a standstill? Heck no. We haven't even reached the yoke of the matter yet! It looks like Davee and the rest of Team Typhoon are busy updating their ChickHEN exploit to a new and very much improved R3. Just as M33 would have their custom firmwares, Team Typhoon also plans to incorporate a VSH menu and plugin support (among other features) to ChickHEN R3.

Developed by the same guys who did Mr. Driller, Sony's got a new puzzle game to wrap your heads (and thumbs) around with. In the works for both the PSP and PS3, via PlayStation Network download, Numblast involves rotating a 2x2 grid in order to align the same numbers (or if you think like me, align same-colored squares) on a board. Lining up the same numbers eliminates them from the board, and if you can bring other numbers into the chain, reduce the entire playing area to smithereens by doing combos.
