Over on the FuSa project website, there's a new update that should make PSP users everywhere want to pick up a future version of FuSa for their PSP Slims. It seems highly possible that the next release of FuSa will support PS1 (POPS) games. Learn more after the jump!

We know hardly any of you would look this way, now that your pre-order of Snake's final chapter has shipped to your doorstep. But Sony would just like you to know that they've added new things to the US PlayStation Store this week, and some of it's even angled to enhance your Metal Gear Solid 4 experience. There's also a slew of free downloadable content for both the next generation console and the PSP, as well as UMD titles finally hitting the PC store. Read more to get the full list.

Remakes of highly-successful games make for great gaming opportunities, and it seems the PSP is the way to go when it comes to Japan's system of choice for such a venture, according to a recent poll done by Dengeki Online. Learn more about the poll after the jump.

The PSP version of flOw has gone live on the European PlayStation Store. Along with flOw comes the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare variety map pack and more demos, trailers, themes, wallpaper and PSOne games. Hit the full article for the complete list.

PSX2PSP lets you play your old PSX titles to your Sony PSP using a simple interface. With the previous build in mind, veteran homebrew coder KingSquitter decided that no more updates will be done, rather, just minor bug fixes. Version 1.3 brings us support for the conversion of multi-games. More details after the jump.

The European PlayStation Store has come up with its January 24 update. Up for grabs are some classic titles for the PSone, as well as the online-exclusive multiplayer shooter Syphon Filter: Combat Ops for the PlayStation Portable.

Man, that was quick. PSP homebrew icon Dark AleX has just released the first update for the new 3.80 M33 custom firmware. Note that 3.80 M33-2 requires 3.80 M33 to work. This update brings a fix for the new custom firmware's icon issue as well as a necessary fix for homebrew that report the PSP's CPU speed. The full changelog in the full article.

Here's one unexpected surprise (and what a surprise) from the latest PS3 firmware update: you can now play all your games from the original PlayStation on your PSP via Remote Play! If you have the unfortunate luck of having thrown out your discs, worry not for PS1 game downloads are now also available via the PlayStation Network. Read more in the full article.

Homebrew developer ZodTTD just announced that Anonymous Coder is back and is ready to work on PS1P application again. For PSP owners new to the PSP homebrew scene, the said application was a pre-Popstation PS1 emulator for the PlayStation Portable.

ZodTTD also shared that Anonymous Coder wouldn't be working alone on PS1P this time as he had decided to re-unite with the psx4all team. Even as of this writing, the whole team is hard at work - doing some debugging and possibly a PDA port for PS1P.

And what about the PSP scene you ask? Well, here's ZodTTd has got to say about that:

Sure we have Popstation, but there comes a time when it's done for homebrew sake. So I, ZodTTD, will leave it up to you the reader, to decide whether we chalk one up for homebrew, or let an existing commercial emulator lead the way for PSP emulation. Your feedback will be directly related to what we do with this project.

Developer Stonecut has sent us an e-mail that AhMan has rolled out a maintenance release for iR Shell 3.61. This release solves a few of the errors that users encountered when using the original build.

The bug fixes in this release include the autoboot plug-in problem which some some configurations experienced as well as the issue with nethostfs crashing when the PSP fails to connect to the server. In addition to this, there are a few other fixes that were implemented:

• Fixed screen corruption while changing CPU speed in PS1 games.
• Retained the overclock speed after exiting game/app while nethostfs is active.
• Fixed adhoc PC nethostfs connection problem. You no longer need to mess with the wlan switch.
• The MP3 will now resume at the exact position when switching firmware versions (1.5 iR Shell to 3.x iR Shell, or vice versa).
