A new update for the Bookr-Mod has been released by the unknown Chinese homebrew coder. Bookr-Mod is an enhanced version of Bookr, a PDF/DJVU/TXT reader for the PSP. Notable features in the latest update includes support for Custom Firmware 5.50 and PSP-3000 with HEN.

As promised, PSPGen together with GENyUS has released the much awaited Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-B. This is great news to all GEN users especially when news broke days ago that Sony has successfully implemented a security update that prevented Custom Firmware 5.00 M33 users from accessing the Playstation Store. Fortunately, Custom Firmware 5.50GEN users were safe.

Japanese news site Game Watch managed to dig up more info on the PSP Go, shedding yet more light on Sony's new piece of hardware. They got word on the talked-about DualShock3/Sixaxis support, the in-game XMB feature, and pics of the PSP Go side-by-side with a PSP-3000 to give you the comparison that specs can't give. Homebrew developer Warlock- dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a new update for his excellent app, PSP Power Saver. The new update fixes the compatibility bug with the PSP 3000.

It's the week after E3 2009 and we received more updates on the stuff that were announced during the yearly gaming expo. First up is the new PSP Go, which generated a bit of controversy over Sony's decision to slap a US$ 250 price tag on it. We also heard more about the games presented during E3. A new firmware update that "improves system stability" also went live this week, just ahead of another custom firmware release from the PSP homebrew community. Just because Sony thinks DS owners grow up to buy PSPs doesn't mean they won't be trying to bag the market of non-grownup girls. For that, Sony not only gave Hannah Montana a place in the PSP, but Disney's new pop princess will also come bundled with a lilac-purple PSP.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter had some pretty strong words to say about Sony's decision to slap a US$ 249.99 price tag on the new PSP Go. In Pachter's opinion, Sony is practically ripping off people with it.

Sony has revealed the Monster Hunter Freedom Unite bundle they've announced previously for Europe. The bundle, which will launch on June 26, will come with a PSP-3000, carry pouch, screen wipe, branded skin, and of course a copy of the game. Hit the jump for a pic.

Xenogears and becus25 are on a roll, finally bringing their Custom Firmware Enabler up to version 3.01. The biggest addition in this release (well, in the earlier v3.0, actually) is support for the PSP-3000. Details and changelogs are available in the full article.
