Zx-81 apparently ain't done sharing with us his wonderful releases. This time, it's version 1.0.6 for his PSP emulator of Atari800, 800 XL, 130 XE, and 5200 series. That sure is a goldmine right there, huh?

PSPAtari - Image 1For those of you not in the know, Atari800 is an emu for the aforementioned models of the Atari personal computer. This can be used on console, FrameBuffer or X11. Now, the PSPAtari is actually a port on the PSP version 2.0.2 of Atari800 from Petr Stehlik. What's there to check out in this version?
  • Multiple keyboard mapping feature (Thanks to Pou-chan) : You can now toggle between 3 different keyboard mapping using LTrigger and RTrigger keys
  • Add help menu
  • New background image
  • Bug fix in Rom file requester
  • Bug fix in screenshots
  • Bug fix in keyboard handler
So be sure to check out the Readme attached to the file, cos everything else you  need to know is in it: sources, instructions, acknowledgments, and whatnot. And, you can also check out the thread for discussion and other additional info, such as the how-to for the use of 5200 Roms.

Enjoy!

PSPAtari

PSPAtari is a port on PSP of the version 2.0.2 of Atari800 from Petr Stehlik. And with the release of Zx-81's v1.0.5, we're about to go retro once more. Last time we got a dose of graphical updates including beautiful icons designed by Shadow plus the option to personalize your user interface with custom background images. This time, it's down to the specifics of the emulator.

Changelog:
  • Emulator menus reorganisation (new menu for settings)
  • Icons and background images modification (add colors)
  • New feature to save and load a distinct setting file for each games
  • Speed limiter option
  • Delete files option (in the file selector)
  • Speed improvement
  • Screenshots are now saved in PNG format instead of BMP
  • Bug fix
A very detailed Read Me file and equally detailed QJ coverages will provide everything that you need to know about this nifty emulator, from installation, controls, loading ROM files to loading key mapping files. Two installers come with the package for the convenience of 1.5 and 2.0 users.

PSPAtari

Zx-81 from our forums has released a new version of his 800/130/5200 Atari emulator for the PSP, bringing PSPAtari up to version 1.0.4. This update is pretty much a graphical update, involving the release of a new logo and background as well as a bug fix. Here's the changelog:PSPAtari Logo
  • Added icons and background
  • Modify the UI to be able to use custom background images (transparency)
  • Sleep mode is now working (but only when you're in the emulator window)
Zx-81 would like to thank Shadow for this release, who is behind the amazing new background image and icons. Well done to him! Fans of PSPAtari will be glad to know that this release has sleep support, but as Zx said, be sure to keep within the emulator window when you try to sleep your PSP, otherwise you may find your PSP crashed when you try to resume it from sleep mode. Enjoy!

A tip for those who want to use 5200 Roms from Zx:

You have to load them using the original atari800 emulator menu (the yellow "Atari800 menu" option in the emulator window). Then select "Cartridge management" then "Insert cartridge" and specify your disk image file, then choose the cartridge type 5200, and go back to the emulator using LTrigger.

Both firmware 1.5 and 2.0-2.6 compatible EBOOTs are included in the archive as well as the sources.

PSPCAP32

Zx-81 has released an updated version of his PSPCAP32 Amstrad CPC emulator for the PSP, updating it to version 1.1.2. This release is a lot similar to the updates in PSPAtari v1.0.4, with graphical improvements to the GUI provided by Shadow, with a couple of bug fixes and the addition of sleep mode support. Here's the full changelog:PSPCAP32 Logo

- Added icons and background designed by Shadow !
- Modified the UI to be able to use custom background images (transparency)
- Sleep mode is now working (but only when you're in the emulator window)
- Bug fix in danzeff keyboard (wrong key mapping)

Now, with the danzeff keyboard mapping bug fixed, you can enjoy CPC emulation perfection, and leave your PSP in PSPCAP32 when it's in sleep mode! Just remember to only use sleep mode when you are in the emulator window! Otherwise you may awaken your PSP to find that it has crashed.

PSPCAP32 comes packaged in a zip archive containing both 1.0 and 1.5 binary versions as well as the source code and keyboard files.
