PSP Homebrew: Rock, Paper, Scissors - Image 1

pspwner, the developer of the Magic8 Ball and Hangman, has a new release which should bring a smile to any old school (and I mean really old school) gamer: Rock, Paper, Scissors on the PSP.

It's a pretty good game with a few quirky additions such as The Hand of God which pretty much trumps everything and the Gun which defeats scissors and paper. It has a two-player option, just in case you don't want to keep track of a long game when you're on a road trip. The animation of this homebrew isn't shabby considering it is a Rock, Paper, Scissors simulation.

Before you download it, note that the file doesn't have a readme included. If you decided to download the game, here's a quick rundown of the controls to get you started:
  • L+R - return to last menu
  • Cross/Down - Rock
  • Square/Left - Scissors
  • Circle/Right - Paper
  • Triangle/Up - Bonus throw or surrender
  • Start - Next Round
  • Select - Screenshot

Hangman - Image 1

Pspwner, the coder who brought us the PSP adaptation of the Magic 8 Ball, is back with Hangman for the PSP. As you can tell by the name, this is a PSP version of the classic Hangman game that we all know and love (and cursed at whenever we couldn't guess the word). It's got a quite a few nifty features too:
  • Two categories for a total of 71 words
  • 28 guessable letters
  • Screenshot - saves to PSP/PHOTO/HangmanScreenshot.bmp
  • USB Support
  • Awesome graphics by gas
For installation instructions and to learn how you can make a new category for the game, check out the included readme file in the download. This PSP version of Hangman is pspwner's entry to this year's NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition.

Still indecisive about life's little dilemmas, or indecisive about being decisive in the first place? If you're still wondering, allow us to help you along by way of Magic8ball v1.10. This game is a close adaptation of the classic Magic 8 Ball toy you may remember from days past, and is an update to pspwner's earlier v1.0 homebrew. Here's a quick look at what's new:
  • New graphics and icon by gas
  • Toggle USB and credits
  • Hacker mode controls: change answer type (POSITIVE, NEGATIVE, INDIFFERENT, NORMAL)
  • New graphics by PSP-Vault member gas
  • EBOOT form for all PSP homebrew users
Controls layout is the same as before, which should make your decision making all the more faster this time around. Make sure to view the bundle's README for installation instructions and other extra notes by pspwner. Enjoy the download!
