Here's the latest homebrew game from RealTechVR as announced by genevois over at QJ.NET PSP Development Forum. The name of the game is Freeesh and is about evolution and the origins of life. Some forum members have commented that this is reminiscent of flOw and we can't help but agree. At the beginning of the game, players are given a small molecule. You must allow this molecule to grow by feeding it other molecules and by protecting it from bigger molecules that may eat it in turn. The rules of Freeesh are as follows as provided by the coder:

In case last month's E3 trailer for No Gravity has gotten you perked up, we'll be coming in again with a major update. The RealTechVR team announced that after putting their game through a major graphics overhaul - they had a new 3D artists redo all the game's 3D assets - they'll be ready to release their 3D shooter port for the PSP by next month. This isn't confirmed yet, however, and the team is further informing everybody that they will update this announcement within the next few weeks. No Gravity is currently playable on PSP firmware 1.5. RealTechVR is hoping to make it playable on higher official firmwares. To this end, the team's apparently trying to sign a deal with Sony that will have the come in either UMD format, or as a signed/licensed EBOOT file. On a related note, No Gravity's Windows DirectX and Mac OpenGL 2.0 ports are expected to have a High-def version coming out later on this year. That's the latest new snippet we've picked up for this much-anticipated homebrews - stop by again in case we pick up further updates. Or, if you're an interested newcomer, pick up the early game demo to try No Gravity out for yourself. Kudos goes to Borg Queen X for tipping us off regarding this hot news! |

For those of us waiting on pins and needles on the most polished-looking homebrew game for the PlayStation Portable to date, RealTechVR's No Gravity, here's something special from homebrew scene's "E3": its official teaser video.
We get you the skinny on what's to expect with the homebrew title that's looking to best even some of today's commercial releases. For a teaser video, it definitely teases. No, there's no gameplay to be seen, only a picture montage that details out what seems to be the game's overall storyline. To be fair, the video looks professional, and the feminine voice over doesn't hurt. It could have done better with a few choice gameplay video cuts, though, but as a teaser, it does its job well. Check out the embed below for the video. Enjoy! |

The folks over at RealTechVR are on the verge of making a homebrew breakthrough with their highly anticipated project, No Gravity. The PSP homebrew community rejoiced when word of this awesome 3D arcade-style space shooter first hit various internet channels, and everybody's been on the lookout for any form of update related to it. That's exactly what we have here. According to team RealTechVR, they're deep into beta testing and tweaking No Gravity's gameplay. They're also still on track in terms of development, and release "is still aimed for this summer". We've taken the liberty of sorting out the updates and listed features in their site, here they are:
Lastly, if you've been living under a rock the last few exciting months and missed the day this great (hopefully, trend-setting) PSP game was announced, we're providing the download link for its demo below. It's really something any hard follower of the PSP homebrew scene shouldn't miss. Thanks to TheRealMcCoy for the tip! Download: No Gravity game demo |

If it weren't for Borg Queen X's tip to us, we'd have completely missed this little tidbit of information on RealTechVR's No Gravity homebrew game. According to a post on RealTechVR's webpage, it seems we should all expect some No Gravity action by the end of June. The game has apparently gotten some large improvements since we last talked about it in March, so here's the official word from the developers, according to their post: No Gravity is aimed to be released for end of June 2007 (gold version is planned for 20th of June). Half of the new levels (seven episodes of five totally new levels) are completed, cinematic are done and the engine was improved since the demo version. There are a lot of new features like levels on planets, new and improved weapons, improved audio and much more! No Gravity will be EXCLUSIVE for PSP Homebrew Compatible (no commercial version is planned). While we wait, feel free to try the No Gravity demo linked above, and save some space on your PSPs for this upcoming masterpiece of homebrew entertainment. |
