Well here's another video from the tech site Engadget to get an up-close view of the white PSP Go. pic - Image 1Here's some good news for the PSP community, homebrew coders Xenogears and Becus25 has released Custom Firmware Enabler. This program will enable the functions of M33 CFW using ChickHen except for Recovery and Pops. It also works with TA-088v3 motherboards, but sadly it doesn't support the PSP 3000 yet.

PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior - Image 1Another week, another edition of the PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior. Things were a bit quiet this week on the homebrew front compared to last week's big ChickHEN coup. Perhaps devs are still working on their apps, games, and other homebrew offerings for the newly-cracked PSP-3000. Maybe we'll see more next week. For now, here are the big homebrew releases for this week.

PSP homebrewWhen we last heard from Pegasus2000, he was busy working on Nanodesktop v0.3.8 - that's the one with the super-resolution algorithm. Turns out it's getting such a huge update that the next version of Nanodesktop will skip v0.3.8 and v0.3.9, and jump directly to v0.4. Here's a bit of a teaser: it's a demo of the graphical SDK - a proof of concept of sorts, so you guys know what to expect in Nanodesktop v0.4.

FreePlay - Image 1The homebrew community sure has a lot of memorable icons, each one of them quirkier than the next. Enter FreePlay. Yes, I'm sure you've heard of him - what with talks of the PSP-3000 exploit pervading the air recently, FreePlay's name has been thrown around a lot these days. So, following last week's Who's Who QuickGuide on MaTiAz, we now venture into the GripShift exploit's other half. How well do you know this free radical, anyway? His influence in the homebrew community runs deeper than you think!

Sony PlayStation Portable - Image 1An ex-SCEE employee has laid out a few suggestions on how Sony can improve its relationships with third-party developers for the PlayStation Portable. Among them was a redesign of the PSP SDK, which he said pales in comparison to the iPhone SDK.

PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior - Image 1It seems things have slowed down in the PSP homebrew scene this week, but that doesn't mean we didn't get to see any new apps and games. The games side was overshadowed by app releases during the past week so I'm just gonna scrunch them together into one list full of homebrew goodness. List up ahead!
