PSP Wardrobe v.5, by Mr. Shizzy - Image 1 PSP Wardrobe v.5, by Mr. Shizzy - Image 2

PSP Homebrew coder Mr. Shizzy dropped by the QJ.net Forums earlier to announce the release of PSP Wardrobe v.5. This application - in case you missed the previous releases -  is an XMB theme and mod flasher built to work with Team M33's Custom PSP firmware 3.52. Here's a partial list of v.5's features:
  • Now support only for 3.52 M33 - 4.
  • Now supports all .rco files.  As weel as ltn0.pgf, 01-12.bmp, html.res, pspbtcnf.bin, pspbtknf.bin, pspbtlnf.bin, vshmain.prx, common_gui.prx, msvideo_main_plugin.prx, music_main_plugin.prx, opening_plugin.prx, & paf.prx
  • Now creates Recovery set up, upon first use. (So as not to illegally distribute patented $ONY files)
  • New art work by:  Mr_Nick666
  • Installing themes is earier and more efficient than ever. Simply throw all your files for a given theme into the corresponding theme folder.  Wardrobe will detect which files are present, and flash them to the appropriate place in your   Flash.  It will automatically flash any files not     detected in your theme folder from Recovery. (Setting them to   default). Thus, preventing your themes from getting "mish   mashed".
  • Now you are asked if you would like to remain in Wardrobe, or exit to XMB, after flashing something.
  • Audio previews for xmb click sounds
  • you may put "html.res" (browser click sounds) and/or "system_plugin.rco" in    "ms0:/PSP/GAME150/Wardrobe/data/XMBmod/system_plugin..." folders.  Wardrobe will automatically scan the folder, and flash either or both files.
For the full changelog list and other important information, we strongly advise users to view the readme included in the download bundle. Users can also opt to drop by the author's release thread over at QJ.net's PSP Development Forums.

PSP Wardrobe v.4 - Image 1

Forum member psp phd (also known as Mr. Shizzy) has released an update for his PSP theme flasher on QJ.NET's PSP Development forums. Called PSP Wardrobe, this homebrew app lets users easily flash a theme for their PSPs. It can currently handle up to 24 full XMB themes and lets users see a preview of a selected theme.

With this update, PSP Wardrobe is now at version 0.4. Here's a list of what's changed since the last version:
  • Boots up faster (all saftey checks are still in tact though)
  • Increased supported number of themes from 10 to 24
  • Increased supported number of XMB Mods from 1 of each mod to 12 of each mod-
  • now fullscreen previews of all mods & themes
  • New main menu art by Mr_Nick666
  • Added Create-A-Theme feature
  • USB MOD (L & R shoulder buttons activate/deactivate USB in Wardrobe main menu)
  • Cleaned up a bit. All preview screens now go in PSP>>GAME150>>Wardrobe>>" Preview Screens" Folder
  • bug fixes
Finally, PSP Wardrobe is for the 3.30 OE, 3.30 OE-A' and 3.40 OE custom firmwares. As with any homebrew app that uses the PSP's flash memory, be very careful when installing this program as there's always a chance of bricking your PSP. For more information as well as installation instructions, please read the readme file included in the download. Also check out the video of it in action below.

Turrican South Park mod - Image 1 Turrican South Park mod - Image 2

Mr. Shizzy has just released his very first homebrew game mod, Turrican South Park Mod. As you can probably tell already, this mod builds on Arguru's Turrican brew which was first released way back in July last year.

But to put an interesting slant into the game, he decided to create a South Park theme for the game as well, allowing users to take on the character of our foul-mouthed friend, Cartman. Timmy, Kenny, Mr. Hat, Mr. Hanky (The Christmas Poo, for those who don't know), Terrence, and Phillip will be your enemies. There are currently two levels in the game, but Mr.Shizzy says that if Arguru releases a level editor for Turrican, he'll be updating his mod as well.

Mr.Shizzy wants to give a shout out to Team DJMNV, Arguru, and VettaCossX for all his help and support. Installation instructions and more notes on the release can be found in the readme so please do check it out.

psp themes - Image 1psp themes - Image 2

shizzy has released two new themes to dress up your PSP. Clouds PSP Theme features fluffy clouds captured at around sunset, giving them a weird-ish red/brown tinge that you'd expect to see in post-apocalyptic world.

Speaking of weird clouds, did you know that in 1859, the Welsh town of Glamorganshire saw hundreds of fish fall from the sky during a thunderstorm? Some of the heavenly fish managed to survive the fall, some didn't make it. Others were frozen stiff - the first recorded TV Dinner in history.

Fish aren't the only creatures to fall out of the sky, either. In 1857 in Quebec, Canada, it actually rained lizards. Silvertown, South Carolina, not to be outdone, reported eight foot-long alligators fell from the sky and then crawled away after hitting the ground back in 1877. Meanwhile in 1973, tens of thousands of toads came raining down in Brignoles, France.

But we digress. In addition to the Cloud PSP Theme, shizzy also created the Windows Vista PSP Theme. So far, there have been no weird incidents associated with Windows Vista.

Just a small reminder: Before dressing up your PSP in these themes, make sure you know exactly what you're doing. You don't want weird incidents happening to your PSP, right?
