In a week filled with industry news, we ended up with a rather sparse recap of the big PSP-specific news that graced the QJ.NET PSP blog. The PSP Go -- or rather, retailers who are feeling a bit miffed by Sony's decision to go download-only for the Go -- was there to pick up the slack. Game-wise, we got a couple more updates as Capcom gears up for this week's Monster Hunter Freedom Unite release as well as more import news and some pre-order goodies for Dissidia, as if fans didn't have enough reason to buy it. Thanks to Japanese magazine Shonen Jump, we finally gain a peek at the first screens of Bleach: Soul Carnival 2, at least via scans. Still carrying a TBA release date for Japan, and no word on whether it will even cross to Western shores, I say this is still a cool treat, especially for Bleach: Soul Carnival fans.

So did you save your data of your previous Bleach: Heat the Soul games? If you did, well and good for you, cos these data will unlock new characters for you in Bleach: Heat the Soul 6. There are also more details and a video for you after the jump.

The Japanese mag Shonen Jump has provided more info on Bleach: Heat The Soul 6's different gameplay modes. Along with the new gameplay modes, new moves were also revealed for some of Soul Society's resident shinigami.

This is either one of the best things that could happen for a DBZ fan... or something that only nightmares are made out of. Apparently, the live-action Dragon Ball movie will get a PSP-exclusive game tie-in.

Following up on last weekend's announcement of Final Fantasy XI's Shantotto joining the Dissidia roster, we now get a scan from Shonen Jump showing her in full regalia for the upcoming PSP brawler. My, my, I see she's looking cute as ever - and all-powerful too. How's that for a 2-foot black mage with a laugh to be reckoned with? There's also a scan from Famitsu outlining Firion and Emperor's EX mode, plus the official box art for the game revealed.

FF7-purists (meaning those who believe that the spin-off movies and games weren't FF7-worthy), rejoice! Finally, Cloud Strife and Sephiroth make it to the magazines! Shonen Jump has published their Dissidia: Final Fantasy feature, putting the FF7 characters in the limelight.
