Chart Track has just revealed that Grand Theft Auto 4  (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is still holding strong at the top of the list of the software sales list. Gasp! A game actually bumped off the Mario games from the top of the charts in Europe! Will wonders never cease? Wii Fit has debuted on top in Europe, raking in almost US$ 32.5 million in its first week, making it the third largest video game release in Europe in terms of value. More in the full article.

Turns out you don't need super shiny cars to sell a racing game. At least, not according to the latest UK software charts, where Mario Kart Wii bursts into first place in its first week out, overtaking Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Aside from this, Mario Kart Wii also got more sales in its first week than if you combined all the first week sales of previous Mario titles on the Wii.
