Worms: Open Warfare 2 - Image 1Open warfare's set to explode as THQ announces that Worms: Open Warfare 2 will hit both the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS handhelds this summer.

Worms: Open Warfare 2 builds upon the success of last year's Worms: Open Warfare. The classic Deathmatch mode is still here, and in addition, the game also includes new single and multiplayer modes such as Rope Race and Fort as well as new Campaign modes. Players who think they need a bit of practice can also us the Firing Range, which lets players test their weapons skills.

Speaking of weapons, 11 new weapons like the Bunker Buster and Buffalo of Lies, as well as classics such as the Super Sheep, Concrete Donkey and the Holy Hand Grenade, also make an appearance in Worms: Open Warfare 2.

Players can also take the game online via multiplayer battles using a wireless connection and show off their skills with daily updated stats and leaderboards on the official Worms website.
