The last time we talked about TeamOverload">TeamOverload, he said that he was quitting the PSP dev scene. Well folks, it looks like he's back since he recently visited our forums to tell us about the release of his basic flash mod, HtmlViewMod 1.0.1. He mentions that this is a very simple mod of the file htmlviewer.fbm.What it does is mod the default PSP bookmark in the Playstation Portable web browser to say QJPSP and it redirects you to our very own QJ Forums. Now a few reminders for y'all, this writes to the flash so use it at your own risk. He also mentions that this has been tested on Dark_AleX's 3.03 OE-C and is only for US PSPs for now. Aside from that, he says that it's something very simple, "but a mod nonetheless". His future plans for this is that he would write a guide on how you could edit it yourself. He will also be releasing version 1.10 which will have support for all PSP regions. Anyhow, the installation procedures could be found in the readme file that comes with the download. Please do read and understand it. With that, here's the download link. Download: [HtmlViewMod 1.0.1] Discuss: [Forum Release Thread] |

"And It's The End..." In his blog TeamOverload has announced that he's quit devving for the PSP. He has lost interest in it over the past few months. It no longer excites him as it used to. There seems to be a kicker, though, something that made him finally decide to discontinue PSP dev work. "The PSP has had its triumphs, but also its tragedies." One "tragedy" he's talking about, the one he really highlights, is when he read about the flak that fellow dev harleyg had to fly through because of PayPal donations. "It is ridiculous how immature people act sometimes." The thankless work that devving sometimes is... "I will continue to use my PSP and visit QJ [thanks, TeamOverload], but all deving work and research for me, is pretty much finished." It's so sad to see you go after all you've done, and we applaud the sympathy you've shown for harleyg. On behalf of QJ, thanks for everything you've done for the 'brew community, dude, and may you have fair winds and a full charge in your PSP wherever you may go from here. |

The exploit is by FreePlay, skylark, and TeamOverload. Installing it is quite tricky, so just make sure you go through the readme files first. If all else fails, you can find his YouTube site somewhere in one of the readme files so that you can watch the tutorial instead. Almost everything that you would need is already provided for in this pack, so here's what you can expect:
This is one really major pack that compiles everything together into one neat little bundle that everyone (and their own firmwares) can enjoy. Download: [Birdman1's Font Pack v9] |

FreePlay released TIFF Font Hack Installer v0.1 for PSP firmware 2.7-2.80 (2.0, 2.01, 2.5, and 2.6). Originally created by FreePlay, TeamOverload, and Skylark, the font hack enables PSP users to change the fonts on the PSP's home XMB screen. Other things you can play around with: italic, bold, shadow, and other style options for fonts. FreePlay says its one drawback is that you have to manually edit and fix your registry using some other tools they made. But they are working on ironing out this kink. To install: Copy the program to PSPPHOTO on your Memory Stick. To run the program: Highlight the 'fonthack' folder from your PSP's Photo menu, then press Start. To modify your registry:
FreePlay also says this app doesn't touch flash0 (only flash1)so there's absolutely no chance of bricking your PSP. Download: [TIFF Font Hack Installer v0.1] |

Birdman has a new version of his font pack ready for use. It has well over 102 custom fonts for your PSP's XMB. Birdman's font pack allows for easy installation of fonts. Just be sure to read the included readme file for additional information and needed precautions. It isn't really that hard to install the fonts, the readme file had this to say: STEPS:

TeamOverload">TeamOverload (thanks for the tip) from our forums has released a new flash application for all those PSP users on firmware 2.7 and above today. Text me v0.5 is a simple flash text reader made perfectly for the PSPs small screen and 2.7+ firmware browser. This application is part of a flash suite that TeamOverload is currently working on called OPSP which will be released soon. TeamOverload is releasing some of the parts of the suite (like this one) in order to get your thoughts on his applications. This is not the final release and expect the final version of this text reader to be slightly different when released with the OPSP suite. Make sure you report any bugs or suggestions in the forum release thread so that TeamOverload can fix them for the final OPSP release. Good luck with OPSP TeamOverload!
