Tipster Dragoon brought something very interesting to our attention earlier: coder weltall has released an update to his nifty app, CWCheat. It's now in version 0.1.9, and sports a number of changes that will make it a bit friendlier and crash-free. So what's new in this version of the PSP and POPS cheat app? According to the dev, this release (v0.1.9) and the subsequent ones until 0.2.0 are going to focus on "fixes and optimizations". With that said, weltall discussed his changes on the text reader: With this release I've improved the text reader, which now can load one text file for each game and it's loaded from ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/text/ and it's called as GAMEID.txt (where gameid is the one shown on the top of cwcheat menu, just like how memory cards and the db works), plus now every time the user exits from the text reader the position will be saved so the next time it's opened it will be were it was left. Other neat additions include a goto function in the memory editor so users get a hold of what they need faster, and lite versions for the POPS and homebrew plugins. Homebrew plugins will now be added to the MS_ROOT folder, making installation far easier. Weltall also improved some compatibility issues with games and vsh by tweaking with the booting process and ironed out some bugs with the memory editor and disassembler that caused the app to crash. As always, check out the readme after downloading the file. You can also hop over to the forums to ask any questions you may have about CWCheat. If you want to check out this release' complete changelog, click the Full article link below. After which, enjoy! Again, thanks to Dragoon for the tip! As you all know, QJ welcomes every developer willing to release programs they've created to make the PSP homebrew scene a lot better. In this tradition, we're now featuring developer weltall's application, CWCheat v0.1.CWCheat was originally being developed to work with the 1.5FW and UMDs, but when devhook came out, weltall moved it to work with devhook. It now has support for all games available. CWCheat is basically the first general purpose cheat device for devhook. This application from weltall has several functions that all of you will find very helpful:

To all those who upgraded past 2.6 and discovered the fact that there's no homebrew, here's a bit of a consolation. Epixx from our forums has just released a Flash Text Reader for 2.7 PSPs. This uses the flash capabilities of the new firmware to read text files from your memory stick. Quoting him, "Many of you may know that I had previously released a Flash Text reader, but it didn't work. Well...this one works. And it's quite useful too. The interface is pretty clean and I'd rather not use the browser. Installation is pretty simple. Just extract the text.swf file to the Memory Stick and load it by opening file:/text.swf in the browser. Now just put the text file (text.swf) in the root as well. This is the file which will be opened by the text reader. Now I'd love to mention a few places where you can get all your books in .txt format. But unfortunately, It's illegal. As the old saying goes, just Google it ;) Download Link : [PSP Flash Text Reader v2] View : [Forum Release Thread] |
