A few days back, we brought to you hallo07's Battery PRX. This time around, homebrew developer EvilSeph informed us that his group, Team tOc, has released Battery InfO V.1. By simply looking at the screenshot below, you'll have an idea what this app does.
This nifty tool is an OE PRX that provides you with a detailed information about your PSP's battery. The devs mentioned that you need not go through your XMB and go to Battery Information since every info you need about your PSP's juice is displayed on the right hand side. Team tOC also said that this is just a small part of a larger project that they're thinking of (or working on already). |

The Unique Warrior has once again updated Power PRX, bumping it up to version 3.0. This time, he's decided to give in to a few requests and added a new config file for button combinations as well as a new brightness mode.In version 2.0, support was added for users with 1.50 custom firmware. To install this PRX on a PSP running on 1.50 custom firmware, look for the config file (usually in ms0:/psp/system/) and edit a line to the following: { loadmodule1 = "ms0:/seplugins/rebooter.prx" } If you're running 2.71 SE, all you have to do is run Coldbird's Universal Module Flasher and install the module (NOTE: This only works in XMB and will be stopped during Gaming). Alternatively, you can simply copy the files in se_plugins in the MS_ROOT/SEPLUGINS to ms0:/seplugins then activate the PRX from recovery mode. The Unique Warrior has added security to protect against memory stick corruption and bricking, but don't take unnecessary risks that could end up in brickage. Be sure to read the readme file thoroughly before installing Power PRX. Download: [Power PRX 3.0] Discuss: [Forum release thread] |

The Unique Warrior from our forums has updated his Power PRX for the PSP today, adding the option to put your PSP in standby (or sleep), powering down and restarting via hot keys as well as adding support for 1.50 custom firmware users. With this PRX, you no longer have to use that annoying power slider on the PSP (as some users find it a little flimsy and easily breakable). This app's name was changed from the 2.71 SE-C power off and reboot PRX to Power PRX reflects how much has changed in this release. Along with the addition of 1.50 as well as 2.71 SE-C support and the option to put the PSP on standby, The Unique Warrior has added security to protect against memory stick corruption and bricking (not to mention a whole host of bug fixes for both 2.71 SE-C and 1.50). As before, to install this PRX, all you have to do is run Coldbird's Universal Module Flasher and install the module, or you can copy the files in se_plugins in the MS_ROOT/SE_PLUGINS to ms0:/se_plugins, then activate the PRX from recovery mode. The Unique Warrior has today released a new PRX for all the 2.71 SE-C users that will allow you to reboot or power off your PSP in the blink of an eye - circumventing the need to use that sometimes irritating power button which takes so long to switch off a PSP.After installing this PRX, all you have to do is press HOME + Select to shut down (you'll be powered off in 0.5 sec), and press HOME + Start to cause the power LED to flash 4 or 5 times to reboot the PSP. These hot keys work whether in game or in the XMB, so make sure you don't press them by accident or you could lose your place in a game as it doesn't ask for confirmation. To install this PRX, all you have to do is run Coldbird's Universal Module Flasher and install the module, or you can copy the files in se_plugins in the MS_ROOT/SE_PLUGINS to ms0:/se_plugins, then activate the PRX from recovery mode. If you are a developer and are interested in this PRX, here's what The Unique Warrior said about this release:

Team S.F.I (Software for idiots!) have just released an update to the Mac Content Manager for all the Mac OSX users here. Even though this application is still in its infancy, it already has a lot of cool features. Here's the changelog for the latest version:

Let's get straight to the point. The Unique Warrior has released the uFlash v2.00 with spanking new features. This version is the final release. Says he, since Art has already started xFlash (and Art has more experience working with PSP's Flash than he), he won't be releasing any more updates after this one. Although, he does hope that everything goes well with Art and his xFlash. Anyways, here are the new features that you can find in this version:

The Unique Warrior, from our forums, has updated his uFlash homebrew flashing tool for those using Dark_Alex's 2.71 SE firmwares. This version of uFlash has been updated to provide support for 2.71 SE-B custom firmware, so we would recommend you update to this version if you are using uFlash v1.50. Although uFlash 1.50 did work with 2.71 SE-B firmware, The Unique Warrior did brick his PSP using uFlash 1.50, and therefore he has released a 2.71 SE-B specific version which should prevent this from happening. Here's the changelog:

The Unique Warrior has updated uFlash to version 1.50 with sweet new features. Those who've been acquainted with Art's firmware modification program (XFlash) will see much similarity with the uFlash. Changelog include:
Watch out for future updates to this firmware modification program as you'll get to see more possibilities, for example:

It sure feels great when you've inspired someone to do something wonderful, isn't it? Well, XFlash developer Art must have felt the same thing, as he sort of inspired another developer to make a homebrew app pretty similar to his.Yep, developer and QJ forums member, The Unique Warrior just released a beta version of uFlash. If you're familiar with Art's firmware modification program, XFlash, then you'll notice that The Unique Warrior's uFlash works pretty much like it. The Unique Warrior says that we can expect a GUI version soon, along with brand-spanking new features to boot, so that's something to get excited about, right? Here's what the dev has to say about his app:

In the wake of the earlier release of SuperbatXS's LUA Button Tester and guide, a forum member who goes by the moniker The Unique Warrior decided to make his own button tester in C++ since SuperbatXS's tester was in LUA. The result is PAD Tester, a non-LUA button tester that works with DA 2.71 SE-A. It works pretty much like the aforementioned LUA Button Tester and is just as useful when it comes to testing out if your buttons are still in good shape. When you press a button on your PSP, the name of the corresponding button shown on the screen will light up. PAD Tester can also detect if you have a UMD in your PSP. In the presence of a UMD, the words "UMD Present" turns red. If there is no UMD, they'll remain blue. Click on the download link below to check out this useful homebrew app. If you have any suggestions for the coder or if you just wanna say something, don't forget to click on the 'discuss' link to discuss this release in its own forum release thread.
