Homebrew developer Xylkz dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a mod for titch.ryan's Battle Monsters titled SNK vs Capcom Cardfighters Clash. Just like the name implies, this iteration features SNK and Capcom characters. Those who missed our last report on this might want to know that titch.ryan's version involved Yu-Gi-Oh monsters. Anyway, the aim of the game remains the same - you are given 20 randomly selected cards at the start of the game. All you have to do is destroy all of your opponent's cards. You can do so by selecting the "Attack" or "Defense" stance. Here are a few other additions provided by Xylkz:

Homebrew developer titch.ryan has released Battle Monsters, a card game in the manner of Yu-Gi-Oh. Titch.ryan is also the developer who released the Balloon Pop Challenge game a few months ago. Battle Monsters offers its own deck of monster cards but you can create a deck of your own, with its own images and statistics. The game automatically gives you and the AI a random hand of cards from the deck and choose to attack or defend. The one with the losing stats lose and the losing card will be taken from the game. The one who loses all his cards first loses. Here are the developer's notes: Controls: D-pad to navigate X to select / to view gameboard (On your turn) How to create custom deck / music:

Luke Ryan, aka titch.ryan, stopped by our forums to announce the second and final release of his Balloon Pop Challenge homebrew game. In this game, you're simply tasked with popping as many balloons as possible to exceed your highest score. According to titch.ryan, the game now has three modes (timed, original, and two-player), as well as 10 tracks of music which randomly play when you begin. Give it a try. You may find yourself enjoying the catharsis of popping balloons. We certainly did. Download: Balloon Pop Challenge v2 Visit: PSP Development Forums |
