Last week we saw Nintendo lead the pack for the second week in a row as Mario Kart Wii dominated the software charts in Japan. This week tells a very similar story as the wacky go kart racing title racked in an additional 152,000 copies and took the top spot in the Media Create software chart list once again. Read more about the other games on the list in our full article after the jump. |

Ubisoft recently acquired full rights to the Tom Clancy name on a perpetual basis, relieving them of all future obligations to pay royalties for the franchise. But how much did they have to pay so that they don't, um, pay? Analyst Michael Pachter estimates it to be around US$ 94 million. Ouch. More details in the full article. |

The original Rainbow Six: Vegas was released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and the PC.
From all indications, it looks like Ubisoft decided not to take a
multi-platform approach to the sequel of the game. The company's
official website only listed Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 on the Xbox 360 and PC.Want to find out more about this? Check out the full article. |

Tom Clancy titles have always been high-end shooters that not only gave
you the feeling of being a living, breathing, thinking machine of organized destruction and tactical supression, but they also paved the way for an entirely new take
on the shooting game genre - that "take" being the ability to predict
your opponent's movements three or four steps ahead by clever use of
strategy and weaponry
All that's in this gameplay video update where we see Ubisoft's latest offering of the Tom Clancy series on the PSP, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 in action. In these videos, we see quite a large chunk of gameplay for Mission 1 and Mission 2 - and suffice to say, the game doesn't disappoint even in PlayStation Portable form. In fact, I'd even go out to say that it doesn't look like a portable title at all, but rather a full console title. Yes, it's that good. Slick graphics, crisp sound effects, an over-the-shoulder camera that lets you get a full view of the action - it's all here, and with the same explosion-packed quality that we've come to expect from Tom Clancy titles. Enjoy! |
